Can you see negotiations between Canelo & Cotto hitting a wall at some point?

If Golovkin can't get the Cotto fight, do you think Lemieux has a chance to beat Cotto?

Neither Canelo nor Cotto belong at 160, hence why they will fight each other. If cotto doesn't get Canelo (fight will be made, too much money at stake), I predict Cotto will vacate. He obviously doesn't belong at middleweight.

David Lemiuex, if he wants the easy way to the title, should fight Jermaine Taylor. But he'll be (rightfully) criticized for taking a fight against a has been fighter that shouldn't be in the ring in the first place. Then again, maybe Jermaine Taylor needs to get KTFO again to remind him he doesn't belong in he ring anymore.

Rosado showed he could take DL's punches and was able to counter him effectively before his face and eye fell apart. I didn't see anything that would show he would beat Rubio in a rematch, Rubio would just do exactly what Rosado did (as in the first fight) except he has the skin to not get cut/swell, a much better chin (took all of Lemieux's power punches without a flinch) and plenty of power in his own shots to eventually break DL down. Lemieux, if he doesn't want a rematch, should find another top contender to prove he isn't a one hit wonder. Somewhere along the lines of Korobov, Saunders, Eubank Jr, maybe even Sam Solomon.

You could argue that Canelo does belong at MW considering his fight night weights. :think

I think Taylor is going away (i.e. trial / jail) before he even defends his title, so we'll see a title fight for the vacant IBF belt. That'll be N'Dam and, knowing what Haymon can do, Quillin.

Korobov & Lee are fighting for the WBO title, with Saunders on deck as a mando. Eubank Jr will fight guys of lesser caliber to build himself back up from the loss. Sam Soliman is finished, should retire anytime now.

Not many power punches Lemieux threw in the Rubio fight actually connected. He was hitting Rubio's guard on 70-80% of his shots, I was telling the crowd around me to shut the fukk up as Rubio blocked almost everything that was thrown at him. Lemieux fights in a more measured, paced way now and doesn't unload for the sake of unloading.

I'd say Rubio rematch or fight Jacobs in NYC. Maybe Geale but that would surprise the **** out of me.

If you were Cotto, would you not prefer Lemieux over Golovkin if you couldn't get the Canelo fight done?

What are Cotto's options, really? Fight Canelo or GGG, is that it?

Or can the WBC be swayed once more and authorize HBO-approved Lemieux as an optional defense before Cotto faces Golovkin?

If the Canelo fight can't get done, it's either Golovkin or get the **** out of "160." That's how I feel about that.

I don't think Lemieux paces himself very well. He just throws less punches, but still always go for the homeround. Look at GGG how he paces himself. He is constantly throwing punches, but 80% of them are just for settling something or to mesure distance, etc. He only throws hard when he knows he is going to connect or when there is an exchange to get the other guy's "attention". Lemieux still need to learn how to be smart in there.

I agree with you, Rosado sucks no clue why people were picking him to win...

but Rosado was at least a gate keeper jobber. Lemiuex needs to beat someone better first.

If I were either I'd avoid Lemiuex
why would 154 guys move up to fight a true middleweight who isnt a big star yet.
he does DECENT in canada but not enough to get that kinda pay day,

lemieux's camp has already recieve offers from GGG manager/promoter(texts to yvon michele) for a fight in 2015...but they way yvon michel was talking it sounds like they know david isnt ready and a ggg fight would be last resort if they cant get any other bigger names first

It seems Canelo & Cotto are very close to a deal. Because the winner of Korobov-Lee has to face BJS in a mandatory defense, Golovkin won't have an opponent in the summer...

-I doubt Haymon sacrifices Jacobs to Golovkin.
-Quillin might go after N'Dam (2) for the IBF belt that Taylor will vacate.

Golovkin still needs to wait on the winner of Cotto-Canelo for his mandatory fight, and that's September at the earliest.

In the meantime, who's left at 160? Lemieux. Maybe Froch or Chavez Jr at 168 if they don't fight each other.
