Lemieux sounds like a nice guy. I still think they should of built more momentum for Lemieux before getting this fight down with GGG. It fights GGG nicely. Now if Lemieux teaches or tests GGG, im dont know. It would be nice to see how GGG deals with adversity but Im not sure Lemieux is the one. Certainly though, one punch is all it takes from him.

That "I'm not afraid" quote does not bode well for him. Bunch of other platitudes parroted as well. At least he seems like a good man and did not talk a bunch of trash.

I give Lemieux all the credit in the world. He has the cojones to get in the ring with GGG not run from him like the other 160 so called elite
Should be an exciting fight May the best man win

He's confident not cοcky. Good to see. He says GGG has never faced a fighter like him... Well you've never faced a fighter like GGG either...

I think he is right about one thing - he does have the style to trouble GGG. Stylistically he is a much tougher out than someone who would run. To beat GGG you need to get him out of his stalking pattern, and to do that you need to be aggressive and able to hurt him. If you cant or wont fire back with something meaningful its over before it starts.

I've said this for years, though undoubtedly the haters will think im just hyping the opponent. :conf

The thing is GGG just goes one gear higher all the time and when the time is right he goes all turbo

i question the psychology of that statement. why is your intent to test ggg, rather than to beat him?

I personally think GGG will blow him away inside six. Not sure this will be as big a test as people are suggesting. Sure, Lemieux has power but has he felt anything like Golovkin's before? Anyway, whatever happens it should be exciting viewing! Great to see GGG getting big time press and decent fights.

If he says he will test him, then it means he has already come to terms that he'll lose the fight.

Generally speaking,Canadians are much more polite and humble than our American red neck and urban types.David seems like a decent guy but he is way over his head in this one,He will show up and give it his best but that won't be enough. This promotion is all about GGG.

Lemieux is a good fighter and I love watching him... that being said, he's stepping into the ring with GGG. He's going to have to be a beast in there and then some..

He's defending his title against the best in the division. Props to him.
