Lemieux sparring Derevyanchenko & Khytrov - the two faces of Golovkin?

    because maybe golovkin is focused unifying the division, about to get Canelo/Cotto winner, and ward brings 0 views...???

    He basically said, "Yo, I aint moving up to 168 till I finish my business here. But if you want to fight me that bad, I'll fight you right now but it's got to be at 164. If no, then you'll just have to wait till I'm through getting the WBC title."

    There's nothing wrong with that.

    Really good sparring and even if David L loses, that will be useful stuff for him.

    Not even ashamed, I'm a proper GGG fanboy. If he loses I'll be turning my internet off forever

    I think it'll make a small one.

    The last time a Golovkin opponent went "fukk it I'm going full ret4rd, let's see if I can land a big one on him" was June 2013, Macklin fight, beginning of round 3. Mack tried to unload whatever he could in the centre of the ring but it was sloppy and appeared improvised.

    When *not if... when* David decides it's time to go all-out, at least he'll have pointers on how to maximize his chances to land. Ramsay has followed Golovkin's career since his amateur days, so that also counts for something in terms of prep.

    People need to remember that, provided Lemieux makes weight without an issue (I have my doubts), we'll get to see a fully prepared, best version of the biggest puncher at 160 (2nd only to GGG). Even if it ends in the first round, it'll be a quality win.

    It might Derevyanchenko's style isn't too far off from GGG's it should adequately prepare him for the pressure and style he's going to have to deal with, however I hope Khytrov doesn't batter him too much and wear him down.

    Khytrov is more like Lemieux himself than Golovkin.

    Worked for Marquez in his forth fight with Pacquiao. Marquez was getting pummeled and that punch was a Hail Mary. It's all he had left and lightening struck.

    How would Lemieux do against Cotto? That could have actually been a great fight. Would David's power have been too much?

    this fight gonna be way more competitive than you think Lemieux is underestimated way too much :-(

    if the 154 pounder 5foot7 stevens went 8 rounds and could have kept going then golovkin is in for a tough fight :good

    What advantages does Lemieux hold over GGG?

    Not many...If any at all...

    GGG is just going to box him...Lem will break down..and the fight will be over.

    Things will get interesting ONLY if Lemieux can establish some dominance boxing from the outside. I can't see him doing that.

    So you'd pick him to KO Cotto at 160?

    I think I would too but without any real degree of certainty. It was that long ago he was losing to the likes of Alcine.

    Yeah I would, the circumstances were different for the Alcine fight, not that I'm a psychiatrist or anything but I venture to guess since the Alcine match was right after the Rubio match it threw him off his game and made him fight more cautiously out of fears he would gas. But the Lemieux we saw against N'Dam and Rosado is the real Lemieux that we'd get against Cotto
