This is what I'm talking about. He fought Torres, Quintana, Judah, Margo, Pacquiao, Floyd, and Austin Trout. He was the underdog against Martinez as well. And look at his next fight. He's catching a bunch of flak for fighting Alvarez instead of Golovkin, even though the fight with Alvarez is a bigger fight and even though he is still the underdog against Alvarez.

Then he should have no problem signing on the doted line and facing GGG....but he hasn't even fully manned up and agreed to face Canelo officially.

The fight with Canelo is all but a done deal. There's only some minor details that need to be worked out. Cotto is a 4 division champ. Golovkin is a couple of years younger and has fought nowhere near the level of comp as Cotto. You guys talk about manning up, but Golovkin won't even man up and go to his second division to fight Ward unless Ward agree to severely drain himself.

Cotto is getting flak for taking on a guy that is almost a 2.5/1 favorite to beat Cotto while Golovkin is getting showered with praise for agreeing to fight a guy that he is a 20/1 favorite to defeat.

Let's not forget that Lemiuex lost against Rubio by TKO, a guy you was KO'd by GGG in 2.

Lemieux was 22 and had won the first 5 rounds clearly, it was not even close...

Actually he took flak for NOT fighting Canelo, and fighting Geale instead at a c/w, and then wanting another voluntary to.. well, in theory fight Canelo.

Its not going to help him come fight night, but good for him telling his promoter to make the fight.

Oscar didn't sound too keen before

You can take Ward, Canelo, and Floyds name out of that lie.

Lemieux was also going forward those first 5 rounds. Won't happen vs GGG I think. We MIGHT see Golovkin hurt in this fight which would be interesting, but the first clean punch GGG lands will be the beginning of the end for Lemieux.
