Not saying you did, but a lot of the people who are using this age excuse for David said the same thing for Canelo. They did it for Ortiz getting knocked out by Maidana at 22 too, even though Ortiz had way better wins, like Campbell who took Baby Bull's 0 and was on a long win streak, and Berto who had wins over Urango, Hernandez, he beat Zaveck before the Ortiz/Floyd fight, Quintana, Collazo. These are all wins far better than what Lemieux has done.

Zab was coming off giving Floyd one of his toughest fights. A much tougher fight than Pac gave Floyd . And the Martinez excuse doesn't mean ****, don't get in the ring if you're that badly debilitated. Martinez didnt make any excuses, and the facts are that he had not lost in over half a decade. Also it's fact that Martinez got caught early, and whether he was injured or not he wouldn't have recovered.

His biggest fights against the best were Mayweather (lost) and Pacquiao (ko'ed).

He will also lose to Canelo and would get ko'ed by GGG and Lemieux. Enjoy your Cotto hype bubble while you can.

You seem upset, why is that?

It's not Cotton's fault that he has a better resume than GGG at MW.. :rofl

What's wrong with you? I'm not even a big cotto fan, I just state facts, and keep it real. I've already picked Canelo to kill Cotto and GGG to massacre him. Lemieux on the otherhand I'd pick Cotto, and if you like we can ban bet if you're that sure that Lemieux will win. Lemieux hasn't faced a killer like cotto since Rubio, just guys on 5 losing streaks like Rosado, and Quillin's leftovers in N'dam and Guerrero.
You're like a psycho bieber fan, but a GGG version of that.

So what are you saying? Pac lost his two biggest fights against the best as well.

    1. A 4th and deciding fight against long time in ring rival JMM
    2. The "Fight of the Century" against his career nemesis, and long time out of ring rival.

    :smoke

Lemieux also takes shots. He took a lot from N'Dam.

Also, Golovkin never starts a fight with taking shots. Only after he realizes that an opponent can't harm him, he opens up.

He never fully opened up with Stevens. I think he will be even less open against Lemieux.

Yeah exactly, it didnt work out. Cotto was granted one voluntary, as part of GGG/Rubio deal because WBC and everyone wanted Cotto/Canelo. After which he would have to face mandatory.

Noone... ok.. well few people of interest gave him any static about that. Despite that Canelo was not "officially" campaigning, or ranked at 160. But hey its a big fight right? Even I agreed.

Then Cotto goes unresponsive after what, 6 months of negotiations? Canelo moves on. Cotto goes on to look like HeMan fighting Skeletor, and demands yet another voluntary.

The point is, noone gave him static about fighting Canelo over GGG per se. People started giving him static when he fought someone not GGG and not Canelo, and still just wants to fight Canelo at his leisure. Or does he? Its July of 2015, almost August and they have been trying to make the fight for what, a year?

Cotto is a little Diva, thats why many people dont like him.

No, I'm just sick and tired of you being so argumentative. You're claiming to be a GGG fan but you criticize him every chance you get. Whether it's the PPV, his resume, his choosing of opponents... it seems like you are always negative over him or arguing with me. It's just annoying, sorry.

Seems to me like you're grasping at straws and crying over spilled milk.

People simply hate Cotton because he beat up Martinez when he wasn't supposed it, it's really as simple as that.

Martinez called him out after seeing Cotto get embarrassed by Trout a weight class below. He licked his chops thinking it was gonna be easy money. Cotton beat him up, knocked him out, and people felt a certain type a way.

After that beating, Cotton has had promotional disputes with Top Rank so he was out for a year. After relocating to RocNation and getting a better contract, he had a tune up with Daniel Geale, a former MW champ and top 5 contender. Cotton beat him up worse than GGG, made him quit, and is now setting up for a fight with Nelo.

All that while being shot to **** takes guts. You must of had a crush with Martinez just like CST and the other Cotton haters did. It's okay though. I feel for you. :-(

What is with all this diva nonsense? Once you make it to a certain level, you have to use your influence. That's what the top guys do. Even Golovkin is getting in on the act; telling Ward that he is the A side and Ward has to come down to 164. That's just what happens. Again, Cotto has taken on countless tough fights. You would think that he would get the benefit of the doubt at this point, but that's not the case. The guy gets criticized now for taking on guys that are favored to beat him.

You can't take tough fights every time out in boxing. If you do that, you're going to have a short career. You have to pick your spots. As we can see with Cotto, fans have a short memory. If you don't give them exactly what they want, when they want, they turn on you.
