On the main ESB page it says Relentless slugger David Lemieux (27-2-1, 26 KOs), of Laval, fights a middleweight opponent to soon be announced in the 10-round co-feature. We already know who he is but a contracts administration is preventing GYM to disclose his name for the moment. A hint: he has fought over a 10 rounds fight against universally acclaimed middleweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez. Lemieux is a Montreal fan-favorite because of he is a powerful, offensive-minded fighter without compromise.
I think they meant recent Martinez opponent in which case Macklin is the only one that fits the description.....otherwise they might be referring to this guy who he fought in 2005: Albert Ayrapetyan: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=14515&cat=boxer other than Macklin and Barker (also Chavez but lets face it it ain't Chavez) who has a fight in Dec thats the only fighter still fighting who has gone more than 10 rounds with Martinez. Macklin would be ****ing insane for team Lemieux
I'm not sold on his power at all. He stepped his opposition up twice and looked like **** in each try. Rubio was catious early in the fight because he assumed Lemieux would pose a threat - he didn't. Alcine clowned him in front of David's homecrowd, it was embarassing.
I thought Lemieux won against Alcine in Montreal, both homecrowd. It was a split decision in an exciting fight where Alcinehad hate lion. I will cheer for Lemieux while I see his limits.
