When he first came on the scene he had so much raw talent and great speed coupled with power. I thought he would be great but he has no heart. The kind of fighter that's afraid to get hit and crushes mentally at the first sign of a fight. Too bad.
Dude...don't even wast your time with this clown. That's why I didn't bother to respond to his *****-MADE-PUNK-ASS. All he does start insulting posters when he doesn't agree with something a poster has to say. He goes on to attack Mayweather when the Thread/post wasn't even about Floyd. But if he knew anything about Boxing (which he obviously doesn't)...He would know that in Floyd's 18th Pro Fight he won a title by beating "TITLE HOLDER" Genaro Hernandez, then CLEANED-OUT the entire 130lbs Division with 9 Title Defenses....All within 27 fights. And he acted as If I suggested something that was just totally "OUT-THE-BOX" and completely WRONG for wanting to see a HYPED HOT PROSPECT Step-up and fight some Solid Opposition, Not fight JESUS CHRIST OR KING KONG...BUT SOLID OPPOSITION. Now Let's use whats called a "WORKING BRAIN"....Lemieux KO'd his last 3 opponents (Two 1st round KO's and a 2nd round KO) and in fact, the majority of his KO's are EARLY ROUND KO'S. What does that tell you? Now for those without a "WORKING BRAIN" like NullPointerAlex...It should tell you that Lemieux is NOT GETTING QUALITY ROUNDS. Making quick work and have having quick stoppages DOES NOT HELP A FIGHTER...AT ALL!!! He needs to step-up and fight a TOUGH VETERAN RANKED CONTENDER...Ishe Smith would be perfect. Ishe would take him into the late rounds 8plus and make Lemieux work, fight, box, defend and adjust. Long time Trainer Eddie Futch had a great saying: "HAVING A YOUNG FIGHTER CONTINUALLY FACE SHITTY OPPOSITION, ONLY MAKES THE FIGHTER'S RECORD BETTER......BUT NOT THE FIGHTER". Oh well...I have learned that Common Sense and Logic really Confuses most of the Posters in ESB. Damn...what happened to this Website? This used to a great place to visit for a Quality and "INTELLIGENT" debate about Boxing. Now it's just a bunch of "NEWBIE" crybabies and EXTREME Nut-huggers of a particular fighter (we all know who that is)....and none of those nut-hugging fans NEVER watched Boxing Before. Thank God for "THE SCENE".
darryl1914's points are completely valid. The time has come for Lemieux to step it up and face some live opponents.
RUSS ANBER--- " i would be ready to put lemieux in with paul williams or sergio martinez in the spring on 2011 if it were to be on the table" so who knows, he might step up soon enough.....according to his trainer
Russ Amber had said from the start of is career that he did not plan on having him moving up in the ranking fast. He wanted to have a few years training him before putting him in front of reel live opponents. People cant call him hyped because he as not been promoted so much until this year. I think now is the time when they want to make it step up and it should be interesting.

It's coming as they are well aware of him, cuertesy of the blossoming boxing scene, in Montreal. It wouldn't surprise me if Lemieux's next fight with a name opponent is shown on one of the big networks. Power sells, and this guy has plenty of it, along with good fundamentals. Anber needs to get him to stop lunging in with some of his shots though, as it will cost him sooner or later imo.
Camacho Jr was doing well and his timing... It's a shame boxing is not his priority anymore, fighting at that weight clearly shows that. Camacho Jr. should get a wake up call, some sources have witness him smoking everyday, hopefully he is not into those Class A drugs.
