:good You hit the nail on the head. Lee can be so unpredictable. Like you I've been following him since his amateur days and was convinced he'd win gold at the Olympics before losing to N'Dam on a countback. It's taken him a lot longer than I expected to win a world title as I remember Manny Steward talking of plans to fight Pavlik before that loss to Vera. I think Lee stops Lemieux and Golovkin for that matter.
I'd favor him against all 3, but think it's 50/50 if he actually gets past all 3 of them without losing one if he fought them all 3 in a row.
I favor all over Lemieux. All 3 are superior boxers with superior resumes Lemieux doesn't hit 'waaaaaaaay' harder than Quillin. That's just silly
I think people are over stating Lemieux's punching power a tad. Okay he hits ahard but it's not as if he's guaranteed a knock out if he lands. Lee is chinny but also resillient and has never been counted out. He'll KO David and GGG
Cotto can easily outbox and hurt him. Lemieux is a crude power puncher and is not even B level to me. I do not think he can beat any of those 3.
Is Margarito a crude power puncher? Did he land on Cotto? Does Lemieux hit harder than Margarito? Yes, yes, and yes. Somebody who's not even B level doesn't land that many power punches win a decision against N'Dam. Stevens didn't only lose, he got KD.
He lost to Rubio and Alcine after all that unecessary hype lol. And after those losses his best wins are Rosado and N'Dam N'Jikam. He is not B level. He will lose to GGG and go back to gatekeeper status.
Yep, he did a number on Quillin's two best wins. :think If you believe Lemieux is the same he was against Rubio or Alcine, it just tells everybody here you haven't watched the fights then and his last four fights. If you did watch them, then you really DKSAB.
He isn't the same but its not like he is that much better. Rubio and Alcine are average at best. Anyone can improve after losing to them. Lemiuex will get slaughtered on Sat and then lose again if he steps up again.
Marcos Maidana got his ass paddled 10-0 by Devon Alexander while Maidana was allowed to wear his puncher's gloves, aka the perfectly legal brand that Floyd refused to allow him to wear. And yes it does make a difference. This is what Juan Manuel Marquez had to say about it. "These gloves are very light, as if they don't have much protection. I hit the and I can feel my knuckles [hit the bag]. There is less protection for the knuckles," said Marquez. "The difference I see in terms of cushioning is very similar [to Cleto Reyes]." "It's [creates] an impact that does not have much cushion. You feel the blow, you throw a hook and feel the knuckles, feel the power of the blow, so Mayweather does not want Maidana use these gloves. Maidana already hits hard and with these gloves his punches will be even stronger. Mayweather could get hit and go right to the mat. A well connected punch can hurt Mayweather." Maidana also lost to Kotelnik and Khan too. He also nearly lost to a shot to ribbons 5000 year old Eric Morales (only winning on a MD) who was fighting with a grotesquely swollen eye for the vast majority of the fight, I think it was injured in the very first round IIRC and he was pretty much one-eyed from the 2nd or 3rd round onwards. atsch Then Maidana paddles the kaka out of Broner's stumpy little ass and comes within a whisker of beating Floyd, in Broner and Floyd's own country where everything was stacked heavily in their favour. Of the 12 officials who worked those fights all but 2 were American and even then they both came from neutral countries (Italy and South Africa). Obviously all 3 referees were American for those fights too. How can Maidana who got shut out 10-0 by Alexander (whilst wearing puncher's gloves), lost to the likes of Kotelnik and Khan (widely to the later) and ever so nearly come a cropper against a shot 5000 year old Morales who was fighting one-eyed for like 10 or 11 rounds beat the snot out of Broner and come within a whisker of beating Floyd too (and many felt he actually did or at least deserved a share of the spoils)? Flo-Emos: ''Maidana improved. He got a new trainer and improved at the age of 29 that's why'' But no way Lemieux who is still only 26 can have improved after suffering loses when he was in his early 20s and had only been past 3 rounds 3 times and past 5 once (only 4 of Lemieux's 25 fights prior to facing Rubio went past the 2nd round) after doing the same. atsch
Quillin KO Guerrero 7....Lemieux ripped his eye out of his head and stopped him in 2 1/2 Quillin dropped N'Dam but most of those were weak KD's.....with Lemieux it was the equivalent of an IED exploding on Hassan's head. Quillin was hurt and getting beaten up by Rosado and walked down.....Lemieux actually dropped him unlike Quillin questionable KD and legit stopped him unlike Quillin. The evidence supports my theory.:deal
