I know kid chocolate can punch but I don't like his toughness and leumiux pressure will surely get to him at one point.
Foreman beat guys better than Ali did and Ali ko'd Foreman. "Better than"? Your point makes no sense. And Lemeiux didn't rebuild anything. Every time he's asked to elevate his game he turns into the same face first brawler who can't box a lick.
quillin was just dangerous in the beginning of fights. he would always knock guys down. sometimes more then once or twice. but kid chocolate always faded when the fight got to middle late rounds.
It's the same with quillin he could never get to the next level and his footwork is slow and terrible and if they fought lemiuex would have no problem getting on the inside to work him over
He might also get ktfo too by Quillin. Quillin is getting old now. Old and inactive doesn't mix but Lemieux can't fight.
Lemiuex has alot of flaws but he can fight and if your in his punching range you are gonna be in a fight and also has a better chin then quillin
He can't fight. The problem is when he fights top fighters, they're never in range. And I don't know who has a better chin. I'd have to see them fight to show me.
The fact that he beat Stevens, Rosado, N'Dam, Guerrero, Tapia, Rios and Reyes, a few of them more impressively than Peter, kind of prove that he can fight, but he can't outbox masterfully skilled fighters, oh well, no big deal, most can't. Lucky for him, Quillin isn't masterfully skilled, and has a **** chin. Just because someone can't outbox the finest doesn't invariably mean they're a bum, Lemieux has his wheelhouse, and in that wheelhouse, he's a master of that domian.
Lemiuex done terrible but has still been better at the top level imo its lemiuex that has the better chin he took a beating off golovkin and was still on his feet
CST, you're talking to the last guy who cares about who is more impressive when it comes to wins. A win is a win. I always go to the go to card when people use the word "impressive". Foreman beat Frazier and Norton more impressively than Ali and Ali beat Foreman impressively. That word should never be used in ANY boxing argument. And no disrespect to you or anyone here but there is no master of the wheelhouse. Lemieux can't beat the elite and I'd have to see him beat Quillin if they were to fight...and they probably never will. Quillin is 34. His best days are probably gone at MW. Nobody can tell me that Lemieux can beat this guy or that guy and mean it. I have to see it. If I go the other way and say Quillin beats Lemieux and say that Quillin is a master at beating bums would that make boxing sense?
Well I predicted Lemieux would beat N'Dam, Tapia, Rosado, Guerrero, and Stevens, and lose to Saunders and Golovkin, I'm pretty good judge of David's ceiling. When he's in there with a guy with porous defense with so so decent but not astounding boxing skills, he usually ****s them up. His wheelhouse is ****ing decent guys up. Quillin is a past it, decent guy, but you're right, they'll probably never fight, so this is kind of a pointless thread.
