Yeah I was pretty much just trolling the board troll boxing_disaster. If I a drop an ignorant one liner on someone like boxing_disaster you can rest assured I'm just messing with them. I do not hold much against David either for his loss against Rubio. IIRC David was even blinding himself when Rubio landed that shot around his ear, I don't think he saw it at all.

    :good

I see improvements in his game. Of course it's the same unique style he uses, but he seems a lot more patient, seems more accurate, and his stamina seemed to have improved since the Rubio fight.

Anyone who saw the Rubio fight knows Lemieux was in control until his inexperience cost him the fight.

I think your overestimating lemieux here.
Cotto fights at 166. 3/5 lb lighter than GGG.
He has footwork and inside handspeed that Lemieux hasn't been up against.
    Canelo....hard to gauge really.
I mean Kirkland hurt him early, Lemieux could as well, and wouldn't be the walking dead after the first flush counter.

Lemieux is a decent consolation prize for GGG IF they can't get ward on board.
Trinkets sell tickets and attract viewers.
So if ward won't deal, GGG will be happy to give Cotto and Canelo his blessing with Lemieux as a consolation prize.

Lemieux makes an extremely basic boxing, really really easy to decode. As soon as he faces a talented boxer he goes to sleep. Imho, he cannot beat cotto nor canelo. On top of that he had problems dealing with ndamn's power at the end of the fight, canelo is no ndamn.

I'd say Lemeiux hits as hard as the likes of a prime Pavlik and Abraham at 160. That doesn't mean he going to beat two vastly more skilled boxers in Canelo or Cotto though. Personally think Canelo would beat him but Cotto may struggle unless he goes for the usual catch weight clause....
