I can't believe the promoters still going ahead of this sh*t show in canada on a PPV basis. Are they kidding or just simply driving a nail into boxing fans in Canada. What a bunch of greedy Morons.:nut
He looked fat as hell against Golovkin. Probably rehydrated to 180. http://75a9.http.cdn.softlayer.net/0075A9/thesweetscience/images/Golovkin-Lemieux-2210.jpg
I think it's fair to say Kevin Bizzie Rascal is Canada's best fighter who actually fights and he will be taken apart by Kell next week.
The fight not happening in the last minute is something that happen sometimes in boxing. Promoters here usually gave the opportunity to the client to pull out when those sort of things happen. But these were Quebec promoters. Lemieux's promoter is Golden Boy, an American promoter (associated with a local manager) who is doing business in Quebec just for the money, not for the local boxing scene. In this case, the company organizing the event is giving a 25% cut for the next time there is fight organized... By doing so, they are hurting the whole local boxing scene with their policy right now.
I don't know why Lemiuex gets all the hype and attention he does. Well, actually, I know exactly why that is. But anyways it's just a tad odd given that he's somewhere right at or below the Rubio or Alcine's of the world and always was. And that coming from a dude who is an N'dam fan as opposed to most of you who might have seen one other N'dam fight before he faced Lemieux. David's second and third best wins in his career? You tell me.
atsch At least when Thurman vs. Porter got scuppered they postponed the whole shebang instead of carrying on with just Rodriguez vs. Williams and Mares vs. Montiel II and those who bought tickets got their $$ back...
Except that Golden boy is the promoter... GYM and Interbox tend to have a more customer friendly decisions when those things happen. Edit: Golden boy might only be the american promoter...
David won a little money with that P.O.S. Golovkin and spent his time after he cashed the check eating snails and croissants.
