Marcel cerdan would be proud of these 2 french warriors, they even look similar with that french nose.

Lucas'heritage is primarily German ( mother's side) and Dutch (father's side), however.

I would have thought Matthysse is a German name, would be more likely from his father's side?

Lemieux apparently is half-French, but also half-Armenian.

But let's keep it real, they're Argentinian and Canadian. There are real French boxers out there like N'Dam, Soro and Rebrasse.

Lemieux is half french-canadian and half-armenian...
French people and french-canadians are two completely different things.

There is an excellent article about Lucas' heritage by Diego Morilla. In it Morilla mentions that his father's people hail from Holland.

Your larger point is correct, however. Lucas considers himself Argentinian.

Even though one's Canadian and the other is Argentine and I don't think either has ever been to France? That map of yours has some weird geography.

With that reasoning Wilder is putting the Central Africa on the boxing map.

    His last name is French.

Nevertheless, his father's people emigrated from Holland. His mother's are ethnic Germans that emigrated from Russia.

Look up the article written by Diego Morilla.

Matthysse was born in Argentina and claims Argentinian citizenship. I can see why you think that would make him French.
