This fight was embarrassing. I love watching Lemieux knocking people out in undercards, but I knew he would get exposed by BJS. Way too 1-dimensional. At least he hasn't quit on his stool like Rigo though.

Side note, BJS actually does have a shot against Canelo if we exclude corrupt judges. If GGG ages a little more and loses more speed and precision, BJS beats him too. I'm more interested in him fight Jacobs though.

 

If Saunders hadn't looked like trash his last couple fights, I'd have picked him.

 

I picked him because i knew David could be easily outboxed. Saunders is the real deal and he gives anyone at 160 fits.

 

saunders has looked horrible against guys like akavov. hardly beyond reason he could have lost this fight.

 

dominated rubio until he gassed. was pitching a shutout. he was doing to rubio what suanders did to him tonight, until he gassed.

 

I figured Lemi would cut the ring off, work the body, wear Saunders down and take him out in the mid to late rounds, but Lemi and his team no nothing when it comes to cutting off the ring. Saunders was just plain faster of the hand and foot and made Lemi look like a fool. In short.....I was wrong again!

I picked Saunders cause Lemieux is who he is. I'm actually from Montreal and have followed Lemieux since his debut. A more skilled defensively fighter doesn't always beat a less defensively skilled power puncher. We see it go the other way around time and time again. You gotta look at the overall package.
