lemieux battered rubio until the round he got stopped.

 

That's a a myth. Rubio was catching Lemieux from the opening round. He even busted Lemieux's nose very early in the fight. Rubio looked strong the entire fight, Lemieux was just the much younger boxer and looked high energy while Rubio used subtle defense and counter punching.

 

i watched the fight, lemieux had him in trouble multiple times. won every round, until the last.

 

I watched the fight too and it seems we watched a different fight then, because in the one I saw, Rubio was blocking a lot of DLs combinations and I also saw DL get battered in the previous round before getting KO in the following round.

 

but rubio was never battered? then i guess we definitely saw different fights.

 

He got clipped several times. But the more damaging punches came from Rubio in rounds 6 and 7. DL was all but done at the end of round 6.

Yes I remember as did I cause I knew he was in good shape also it was just simple boxing IQ cause two of BJS best wins are way n above Lemieux anyway,I was surprised how many picked Lemieux inc I might add Michael Montero.
