Could be a good fight but doubt it will happen + to say that Canelo would destroy him is overstatement to say the least.

Not saying Canelo wins or loses vs. David but Khan held a significant handspeed
advantage over Canelo, David would not have the same advantage of.
Also Khan (for all his faults) does fire the one, two straight and fast, Again,
when it comes to handspeed, Canelo is going to beat him out.

The bad thing with Canelo in this matchup would be, he plants alot and that isn't a good thing
against a naturally bigger power puncher. Big possibility he could get clipped by David.

 

Khan wasn't that fast up at 155. He was slower than usual.

I didn't know what had hit Curtis that sent him unconscious. It was only on the slo-mow cam that i was fully able to see the connection. Lemmy has blinding speed , and in combination. Canelo is quick but only in single shots and in short bursts.

He is also low activity / low work rate and flat footed , things you don't want to be against Lemmie who will punch straight through him , never allowing him to pick his spots.

Canelo is good , but he's not that good.. Out of all his last EIGHT fights , only ONE of them was fought at a legitimate weight class and that was against domestic level C leveller Beffy Smith.
Canelo could have fought anybody he wanted , why on earth did he chose a bum nobody ever heard about? Don't say because of the 154 belt. That was just an excuse to avoid GGG.

If he's not dragging people up in weight , he is dragging them down to canelo weight. There's no excuse for this other than his team know full well he isn't good enough to be in real fights against solid MWs.

Lemiuex fought two 154 pounders recently and he almost beat them half to death. That Rosada pasting was a sickener. Canelo never put a beating on a 154 pounder like that in his life.
He couldn't even down the drained zombie'd remains of Alfredo Gulo despite throwing everything he had into him.
Id have no doubt in my mind that Lemieux would tear Canelo to pieces

 

I largely agree with what you said, and I've been hyper critical of Canelo's MW foray as well. I just think
there are some things he does well enough that I don't see him getting completely ran through by Lemiuex.
Beating Lemiuex is another matter altogether.
