He did get d benefits of torn glove/s used against a cut prone opponent , smelling salts and n Xtra break time between rds . Regarding Jones , Ali just didn't beat him .

 

I'll give you the smelling salts but the referee is responsible for those things and simply blew it. I simply disagree about Jones. Close fight but I think Ali closed stronger. But if you give Jones credit credit for a knockdown in the first, I can see you having it go the other way.

 

It's not my rule that when only d ropes keep a fighter up then it is considered as if that fighter went down . And in that case it was even more obvious that without d ropes he would have gone down . And again , Jones was closer 2 stopping Ali than Ali was 2 stopping Jones . And also , Jones came 4ward while Ali retreated .

Regarding Cooper u can't blame Angelo Mirena's crimes on d referee . I don't know 4 sure d stage in which Ali's glove/s was/were torn . It could have been pre fight but it could have been during d fight and i think that foreign substance in d glove may help it's getting torn .

 

Actually I thought if the fight had been scheduled for 12 Ali would have stopped Jones. I recall the lady few rounds getting all Clay. I think in the first round Ali was staggered but not exceptionally hurt.

 

haha . Ali with his constant backpedalling and stupid hollow jabbing Xpended more energy than Jones and would have been eventually worn down . In a 12 and especially a 15 rounder d rds preceding d 10th rd r usually not considered as late rds and Jones would have had his time 2 slow Ali and close d distance on him . Harold Johnson , a much better technician than Ali could not stop a somewhat weakened Jones who weighed in at 171 lbs over d 15 rds distance so u predict Cautious Play 2 do it inside 12 ??
