Holyfield was a world champion after 12 fights man and beat a quality champion in the process.

Holyfield's 12 opponent was Dwight Muhammed Qawi!!! A monster boxer who would KTFO nearly any CW on the planet right now....

Joshua looked very vulnerable to overhand rights....he's slow afoot, and has no head movement. He can certainly bang, however, and that might be all it takes to get at least a shot at a HW belt. He's young enough to learn some tricks but he really is slow not only on his feet but this his punches. He's easy to counter punch.

Mason retired after his eye was damaged against Big Foot Martin.

He was actually lured out of retirement to give Lewis a semi name win.

Lewis did nothing but target Masons bad eye, sending him back into retirement.

If Wilder or AJ took this fight and won in that matter you guys would be ripping them.

The majority of posters here are under 15 years old, based on comprehension skills. I'm not sure they are old enough to get into the adult YouTube site.

Yeah Lewis done a good job against a live opponent in Gary Mason. RIP.

Mason was undefeated and in shape. Of course Lewis was gonna target that eye it closed alarmingly for Mason during the fight (from Lewis' punches).

But yeah I agree people will always find something to be negative about. Won't they Mongoose.

that was the work of Sauerland and Teddy Atlas, not Povetkin.

    Doesnt matter.

Bostice, Donald, Byrd, and Chambers is an impressive risky run for a pro under 15 fights.

One of the stronger in heavyweight history by that measure. Maybe only Jack Sharkey has him beat in comp for first 15, though Starkey understandably lost a few to the top 5 guys he was immediately thrown in with.

Oleg met McCall, Hawkins, Tua, and Stewert in his first 15, brutal run that did more harm than good.

I don't care as long as you are consistent in negativity.

Bashing Johnson's game opponent while praising a blind retiree because he was undeafeted isn't consistent.

It also took him another 5 years to fight a liver opponent than Chambers

Nah, Chageav was a good win three years and 6 fights later.

    And so?

If it's a question of best 15th opponent, Chambers is a great nomination. Byrd and Donald just prior we're also strong early opponents.

    Why so offended?

Gary Mason would break Eddie Chambers in two.

Lennox Lewis is an all-time great. And the win over Gary Mason was very impressive. Mason was feared. Nobody feared Whyte or pitty-pat Chambers.

Agreed, you could tell from very early on that Lennox Lewis was a special fighter.

Joshua definitely has more in common with Bruno than Lennox.
