yep I'd agree with that pretty much, its the fighters that dont break a sweat at British level that you know they need more class to be tested. AJ showed that more class than British level could spell trouble. It might be unfair to say it at this early stage but it just a cruel fact of boxing. A better fighter would have finished him off, maybe. The thing is though, the current division isnt amazing so he could possible make quite an impact. If he was around in the 90s I think he would be in big trouble. Again, I know its early but you just get that gut feeling sometimes. In general I like how he dealt with Whyte and think he is an exciting fighter.

Maybe others are but I'm not bashing nobody's opponent just simply stating Mason was a better opponent after 15 fights. Which he was.

And yeah you are definitely consistent in your negativity towards Lewis.

If that's true I take my comments back on why Lewis targeted the eye.

I live in east London. Near me is the Pea**** Gym, which everyone knows.

There's another place in the area which few probably know thesedays. There's an old pub building on Barking Road. It stopped being a pub years ago. Since then it's been all sorts of things, from Estate Agents to a pawn shop. It's in disuse at the moment.

Upstairs it's been flats for about 10 years. There's a fair few flats up there because the building is quite big.

It's where those flats are that Bruno and Mason used to spar, so I heard. No doubt a fair few other fighters too.

And you are consistent in acting like an over protective mother.

Someone mentioned a better 15th opponent in Chambers and instead of giving it consideration you acted like a ****. Why? The guy wasn't rude.

And as more obessive and knowledgeable boxing fans we should be able to look past records and see the Mason fight for it was. Hardly the test it was billed as, with Mason coming off a poor performance and injury that saw him retired, sacrificed to give Lewis a decent name and tv showing.

Almost all well managed fighters with potentional get fights like these while they are being built up, Lewis is no exception.

Fair points. But when did I act like a ****? Nothing to do with you.

Yep I probably am over protective of Lewis when it comes to you, it's like a natural reaction to counter balance the constant **** you pour on Lewis and his career.

I just come on here after a couple of years and surprise surprise you're still spewing your usual anti-Lews propaganda lol. If I felt so negatively about a fighter I would'nt waste that much time posting about him. I find it pretty sad. But that's me.

You'd argue with yourself in an empty room.

I already said when you acted *****y.

    Blah blah hyperbole.

More hyperbole I would expect from a whining mother at a parent teacher conference, not interesting enough to respond too...

Save your passion for someone actually bashing Lewis.

    No, I disagree.

Don't think I came across well there, certainly not offended. I just think it's a shame he seemed to take steps backwards in competition. Considering he has seemed to re-discovered himself as a fighter since his loss to Wladmir. I suppose you can't blame the man for himself holding onto his belt, making a bit of money, woulda been nice to see this sense of urgency a half a decade ago.

Still I'm talking as if this guys career is over, the best could still be to come. In fact, with end of Wlad's career now looming, Povetkin may be a force for years to come. With modern heavyweights age hasn't become as much of a factor as in the lower classes.
