Boxing just like everything else in life evolves. Lennox Lewis and the Kltichkos beat every heavyweight head to head more times then not. Too big, too strong and they know how to use their size.

Small flat footed heavyweights like all those 50s heavyweights Moore Louis Marciano would lose to more modern bigger faster more powerful flat footed heavyweights like TUA, IBEUACHI and lose brutally.

Ali, Foreman and are more formidable but they lose as well.

Jack Dempsey and the primitive boxing era was a joke, thats why they could fight 40 rounds.

Vitali beats everyone in history except for Lennox Lewis and Chris Byrd.

Wladimir beats everyone in history except for Corrie Sanders, Lamon Brewster, and Ross Purrity.

Lewis beats everyone in history except for Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman.

    Other than that, sure.

Lennox on his best night is probably my pick for top H2H heavyweight. Vitali would be pretty high I think, but I think he would have some bad matchups. Waldo, as skilled as he is, could be rekt by a lot of the more skillful punchers.

If I recall correctly, McCall had a nervous breakdown in the ring during the rematch. I hardly call that a "whooping".

So Leonard,Duran,Hagler,Hearns and Benitez from 30odd years ago were inferior to the luminaries who occupy those divisions now?
Apart from the fact you describe "small flat footed heavyweights from the fifties"

Chris Byrd, Ross Purity, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster ALL disagree with you.
