I don't know....disregarding ESPN, NY Times, Boxrec, and every other source on the matter...there isn't even evidence Andrew Golota exists? I think he is a CGI character.
Clearly, I'm winding this Neverchair clown up. At any rate, I never said Lewis didn't deserve credit. I just think its fair to consider all the circumstances surrounding this win before proclaiming this his best effort while simply regarding Golota as a coward. Life and boxing is much more complex than such "black and white" generalizations. That facts surrounding this fight shouldn't be swept under a rug just because we all know Lewis is great and Golota was disappointing. I have been very respectful of Lewis in this thread and have only pointed out facts that should be considered. Never have I claimed Golota was a superior fighter somehow robbed, the guy has always been an inconsistent mess inside and out of the ring, which is why he will always go down as contender that couldn't win the big one while Lewis was a Great, great Champion.
Great. Now that I know you only mean half of what you say. It makes things so much clearer! It must be your blind love for Golota that fuels such racists statements!
:good You got me, Golota brings out the racist in us all. I never once hated a jew until I saw Andrew fight.
Never once hated a jew? You only initially denied the holocaust so you could take credit for it, you Israeli *******.
Your right he does deserve credit for beating a man who was according to so called experts favourite to beat him. I do consider the circumstances and the reports surrounding the fight, i just don't find them very believable. See i don't live with my head in the clouds when it comes to the media, press and shady boxing lawsuits. What i see is a man who had just had two massive fights at the Garden with Bowe and showed no signs of ill health. Then in his next fight he is having panic attacks and struggling to hold himself together for an opponent who was supposed to be less of a threat. The story stinks, that is the be all and end all. That is why it has never really be given much thought in all the years after the fight. The only dodgy thing for me was the scars from the obvious steroid abuse on Golota's back. This might sound like i don't like Golota when i actually liked him a lot, it just turned out he was a choker and on the night he fought Lewis he had his biggest choke of all.
You might not know but Golota suffered from various contusions of his legs/arms/neck/back for many many years. He fought being really in bad health many many years. I hope for an autobiography of Golota, I'd buy it right away. He is such a talent and controversial man.
He also suffered from terrible Hayfever. If you look closely at the replay he clearly falls over from sneezing while off balance.
The thing is that Lewis took advantage of the situation, felt the blood and finished like a true champion. However without the injection we could have a great fight in the works. Golota is known to freeze in the first round, then he comes back strong in the second as potentially he is doing something really stupid later on. So without injection, Golota would be more patient, his eyes would not show the crazy cow syndrome, Lewis wouldn't felt the blood, he would score maybe a single knock down at the end of the first round by using ring post. Golota would come back strong in the second jabbing and possibly knocking down Lewis with a rabbit punch to the nuts. The war will begun in the third round, they would be tired and the knockdowns would be scored in every minute. Later on Golota would clearly dominate Lewis winning on pints while he would be constantly caught with the new knockdown. In the middle of the fight Duva would start fighting Steward at the ringside, while Golota would score a few headbuts, the fight would end up in another riot .... Lewis would off course retain the belt and Golota would got a shot at Holyfield the next month. ... the stupid doc just robbed us from all of that
Funny thing is I read somewhere that Tua had issues when he fought Lewis, but keep in mind that Tua got beat up regularly by Golota in sparring sessions, as they were both with Bloodworth. This has nothing to do with ESB. It's just the facts.

Is that what it takes? Proving that Golota got fined for the injection, had cardiac arrest, and won a law suit? No discredit to Lewis, but seriously... he was pounding on a zombie!
Right, because Golota was favored in that fight. This has nothing to do with being dumb to believe. It's FACT! I know you're a huge Lewis hugger but accept it.
Facts don't work when you're dealing with delusional huggers/haters. I have much respect for Lewis but that fight was a fluke, sorry.
