Before you go with the old Ken Norton had a bad chin rap let me say this again. Lewis was knocked out 2 times by 1 punch by lesser puncher than the ones who knocked out Norton and Norton was never knocked out by 1 punch. 3 of the people who knocked Norton out were considered to be among the hardest punchers in the history of the heavyweight division. 2 of the 4 knock outs Norton recieved were when he was past his prime.

Anyway Lewis wasn't a quick starter normally and for the most part his stamina was crap. If Lewis didnt manage to catch Norton early I think Norton would win the decision of by late KO.

Lennox Lewis could blast Ken Norton out like George Foreman did..

    Or if he felt like...

Lennox Lewis could beat Ken Norton..over 12 rounds, with one hand behind his back..

Too Big, Too Mobile, and Hit Harder with more skill.

Which is like saying "If Matthew Saad Muhammad didn't get caught up in a slugfest..."

Because if Lewis didn't KO him early, his punches wouldn't affect Norton after that?? :huh :patsch

Although Lewis is a different man stylistically than the men who stopped Norton, I still think this is a bad matchup. Lennox had the right blend of size, power and boxing ability to really take advantage of Norton's durability issues. I see a stoppage or KO sometime before round 5.

essexboy it is not my fault Lewis sucked, had a bad chin and the best fighters he beat were past their prime.

timelost let us say Norton did have a bad chin. Norton got knocked out by great punchers, Lennox Lewis was knocked out by average punchers. I can't name any half way decent fighters that McCall or Rahman knocked out besides Lewis

FRirst I have to say is Im a Norton fan and Im not exactly Lennoxs biggest fan. TO me this is not a good matchup for Norton. Ken norton never seem to do good against big bombers,I think lennox woud do the samething to Norton as Foreman . SOme timesLennos use d to get lax in fights, but this time he comes out strong, The way he did against these guys(Ruddock,Golata,Botha,Grant

hmmm are you a little xenofoob here ? who invented boxing ? and who invented the modern rules of boxing ? and last but not least you're country is almost build up from european immigrants. irish, english, italian, german, swedish, polish and so on and so on.
and remember this.. you americans can talk all you want on how great the usa is, if all the countrys in the world wanted the usa to pay there depts.the usa would be broke for the first 50 to 100 years.
    no bad feelings though.
