like a 240lbs Lewis would have danced circles around V Klit and boxed his ears off, great idea genius:nut Fighters like Lewis that are used to take advantage of their size don't rely on footwork when they end up fighting opponents of their own size or reach because they have to relocate, get off balance and take punches they are not used to take. pre prime about 230lbs Lewis got out jabbed by Bruno until he managed to land some looping haymaker, same way as 256lbs Lewis ate all these 1-2s Vitali threw. 240lbs Lewis got knocked out by McCall, one punch. Rahman, McCall, Bruno had about the same reach as Vitali plus Vitali even had a size advantage over Lewis. So however Lewis always got hit and had his trouble with opponents that had a long reach, 230 or 256lbs. Its one thing to keep Tua with his t-rex arms at the end of a jab and another to do this to someone like Vitali whos big and throws 1000 punches a fight. mass, weight, strength thats always a huge advantage in a combat sport, totally different thing than being fat moron, as long as the one with the edge is able to utilize it. thats why there are weight classes etc you ******. its not even that much of a question that prime Vitali would likely have overwhelmed a 230lbs skinny wimp Lewis. this Lewis however destroyed his face in 6 rounds and got the stoppage win. He came out aggressive at the opening bell, he knew that he was going to war, knew whats it gonna take and he was ready to do whatever was required to win. He had problems, yet he did what a great fighter is supposed to do and a found a way to beat a very good prime opponent by roughing him up, tiring him out, utilizing his strength advantage up close and doing all the damage that caused the stoppage.

what? Lewis win over prime Vitali was his career best, cemented his ATG status. only Holyfield comes close imo..

Yes, Lewis haters think he should finish his career like RJJ or Ali fighting for to long, they wont be able to understand that he was old not just that he was 38 and had so many fights like you said and his body was giving up on him, but haters are going to hate, it was very smart to retire if he won on cut from headbutt or robbery i would say he shouldnt retire but he had to wait more than 6 months for rematch and he was not getting any younger so he retired end of story.

 

Lewis knew he could not beat Vitali and was going to lose his last belt (WBC) in any case either in the ring or be stripped so he retired instead of taking another beating.
