In this season of glass jaws, let us remember the brittle jowl of Lennox Lewis:

Two is more than enough really. It just goes to show that everyone at some point in their fighting career is vulnerable to a glass jaw. It doesn't mean the glass jaw is permanent, and certainly many fighters have improved after falling victim to it.

Lennox didn't have a glass in his jaw. What caused those losses was his arrogant mindset combined with lazy work ethics and 'movie career' with Wlad.

This. A focused Lewis destroyed those guys in rematches, even had McCall crying like a little girl lol. (j/k btw)

If he was glass-jawed Tua would've knocked him out and certainly Vitali with all those shots he hit him with.

A statement that will get completely overlooked by the usual brigade (well, all four of them) in favour of "Ha ha, Lewis fell over", but I have to assume you would've realised that and were happy for your message to be ignored.

Then again, if you were trying to make a serious point, calling it 'Glass Extravaganza' probably wasn't the best way to go about it.

It'd be like me trying to argue against the causes of Nazism by putting up a thread called 'Crazy Evil Germans'.

    You know nothing about boxing

This was heavyweight boxing, one punch can put someone away

Against Hasim and Oliver, both big punchers. Both hit Lennox flush on the jaw, both right hands thrown with bad intentions at a very high velocity.

Any heavyweight taking those shots would have been out for the count

Lennox is the greatest heavyweight of our era, no question and he exerted revenge over those two loses. He took some big shots throughout his carear and showed grit and determination to get through.

One good shot and the Fight was Over.

It is Irritating to read his fans trying to feed us with their bull**** Lennox Had good Chin etc.

He is ONLY HW champion ever the get KTFO TWO times with ONE Punch.

Yes Lennox is a great fighter and he took big shots to the chin in other fights, no doubt.

But about any heavy going down from these punches - its not true.

45 y.o. Larry Holmes took many McCall's right hands to the chin in the later rounds and never go down.
40 y.o. Evander Holyfield took great right hands right to the jaw from Hasim Rahman in 4th and 5th rounds and didn't even blink.
Shot Al Cole took all Hasim punches as well and wasn't hurt at all. And Cole had good, but not great chin.

It would be better to use the word "many" than "any" heavyweight taking those shots would have been out for the count

:think Hmm yes. Whenever I see a fighter hanging on for dear life or stumbling around for most of a round after taking the heaviest punches of the fight, then get stopped, I always think he'd win by knockout in the next round too.

i dont remember Vitali's legs going, and a strong opinion of mine but i don't even believe he was that hurt. i mean the cut was bad clearly but i think he was good in his mind and neither side can fully say that one would have KO'd the other its just gonna be one of those open ended questions till the end of time because there was no rematch for closure.

back on topic but that Rahman KO'd was more brutal then i remember his head bounced off the mat like a basketball.
