Lewis made the right decision to retire. He had nothing more to prove. Vitali was denied his recognition and even for him it must now remain a question unanswered. Lewis won, the cut stopped the fight and I would consider Vitali unbeaten, simples.
Vitali took Lewis best shots and kept coming at him. Shots that would have had you and your boy Haye being spoon fed meals from your ****ing mothers for the rest of your lives :good Vitali redeemed himself on that night. And Lewis was in good shape for that fight. Even Manny Steward said that AFTER the fight years later. Was he in as good a shape as the Tyson fight? Probably not but it's not like he was in bad shape. And the Tyson fight was only a year prior so the "old man" **** doesn't fly.
The injury stoppage was correct, the decision was bizarre. It was a clear TD for Vitali based on the cards.
Lewis got Boooed, Are you ****ing serious? I mean sure he was booed but look at the majority in the crowd at Staples... Seriously.. and its not like Lewis was appreciated by most anyways. And its not blame lennox for the what if, you can blame that on Vitali, He had how many rounds to get the job done? when in most cases any other commission would have immediatley stopped that fight as soon as the cut took place..... The reason the fight was not stopped is pretty simple, the commission here did not want that fight to end that quick having all these tickets sold and a packed out, keep in mind Lewis was set to face Johnson so when that fight was scrapped the card was saved by Lewis giving Vitali his shot... The commission gave Vitali a very rare opportunity Vitali has nobody to blame but himself...
Ha ha gotta laugh at how Vitali fans think the rules of boxing don't apply to their fighter. Newsflash, having your faced ripped to shreds by the punches of your opponent means a TKO! A heavyweight title fight lasts for 12 rounds and if your fighter is in no condition to continue due to cuts caused by punches then I am sorry to say, we don't just award the fight to the loser because they are slightly ahead on the scorecards, rather they lose! It was my pleasure to explain this to all you phillistine Klitschko fans. :nut
in russian its Клычко, in Ukrainian letter и sound exactly the same as letter ы in Russian
My god, are you completely brainwashed? He had more than one cut around his eye and his lip was also burst. Are you saying that was all from Lennox's thumb? It must be like a Swiss Army Knife then! Look props to Vitali for really bringing it, hurting Lewis, and getting ahead on the scorecards but the fact is he lost fairly and according to the rules of boxing, and the stoppage was appropriate as his eyesight could have been severely comprimised.
If he was coming off a brutal KO loss then people would gladly cheer. People love to cheer for stuff they relate to and losing is very common.
Klitschko fans are probably the most ignorant on these boards. *******s and *****s go on about theoretical match-ups all the time, but Klit fans go on about a Lewis-Vitali match-up like it hadn't happened already (Lewis won BTW, TKO6 by way of face-****). Then all we hear is about how Lewis' magic thumb was solely responsible for ****ing Vitali's face up. Proper spastics tbh. If/when Haye ****s Wlad up, all they'll have left to talk about is Vitali-Lewis. I'd probably be a fan of both Wlad and Vitali if their fanbase weren't such ****s, but as it is, I hope both get ****ed up just to spite their fans.
