Hopwever, the fight clearly showed that Vitaly should be favored if they ever fought again. Thus adding a lot of legitimacy to the years later.

 

Yes, if we had never seen how well Vitaly could handle Lewis then we would still have wondered.

Now we saw a green Vitaly who always starts slow... be up on all score cards!

This green Vitaly was fighting a Lewis who was the same age that Vitaly was in 2006!!! and Vitaly is still fighting today.

I think the conclusion is rather obvious.

 

When did they fight? I remembered hearing he was fighting on of those brothers.

 

He won because the doctor stopped it due to injuries, you dumb ******s. Vitali outboxed Lewis,and everyone knew he was going to win.

Sometime i wonder if people actually watched that fight. It was Vitali who was gassed when the fight was stopped. He was falling around the ring huffing and puffing for 2 rounds.

 

No ,he wasn't and he showed he could beat and was beating lewis ,but he got cut and Lewis won the fight .I think lewis would have won a rematch by close UD,but who knows? with better preparation fight could go either way , imo that's 60-40 fight in favor of Lewis. Anyway he promised ,but never gave Vitali a rematch.

 

5lb over his normal fighting weight .... thats 1 big lunch and not take a crap.
The myth that Lewis was out of shape is just that ... a myth .. people need to let it go.
Vitali took the fight on short notice as well but people like to forget that convenient fact, be glad he did not have a proper camp to prepare for Lewis.

Be happy that Lewis showed the blueprint on how to beat Vitali, openup a lucky cut while getting your ass handed to you.
Lots of others were fortunate enough to use this exact blueprint.

 

Vitali was green. He had only about 100 rounds as a pro going in to the Lewis fight. There's a thread on this forum calling David Haye green in his fight with Wladimir and he had 120 rounds behind him at the time....

No. Bolt's injury would have had nothing to do with Green. Lewis cut Vitali's face up with his gloved fists, that cut didn't appear out of nowhere, did it?
