He went and became the youngest undisputed HW champion and the biggest sports star on the plantet instead. :patsch

Prime Tyson did lose to a so called average guy and he never avenged, you can try and twist it as much as you want, but at least Lewis avenged his defeats, Tyson didn't.

    :hi:

Lewis ended up having the career that Tyson was tipped to have. Olympic gold medalist, Commonwealth gold medalist, 3 time world heavyweight champ, beat every man he faced, beat everyone in his era, finished on top with the titles and **** load of cash in the bank.

But I'm not saying anything negative about Tyson in that aspect, you were the one who was saying where was Lewis when Tyson was champ in the 80's. Well the answer to that question was winning Olympic gold, something that Tyson tried to do and failed which is why he turned pro so early.

You can spin it as avenging defeats. I see it as needing two attempts to beat two average C level fighters. Douglas looked like a world beater against Tyson. That can't be said when Macall and Rahman panned out Lewis.

Douglas had to face Holyfied and retired after that loss. How was Tyson meant to rematch a guy who threw in the towel?

And Douglas was far from average. He outboxed prime Tucker far easier than Lewis did against a years past it Tucker before he gassed out.

What part of becoming the youngest undisputed HW champion and the biggest sports star on the plantet don't you understand?

Hahaha... no he never, did Douglas drop Tucker, did Tyson drop Tucker. Lewis did.

    You're chatting shite once again.

Tyson could have rematched him any time he wanted, do you honestly believe that Douglas would have turned down a rematch with Tyson considering the money it would have generated?

    I think not.

If Tyson wanted the rematch before the Holyfield fight he could have got it, Tyson got pretty much everything he wanted, which included undeserved title shots after prison and the option to just not fight Lewis and pay him 4 million to not fight.

If Tyson wanted the Douglas fight, he could have got the Douglas fight.

Tyson never avenged any of his defeats, not one of them.

Yeah I understand it has no relevance to the question you asked, you asked, where was Lewis when Tyson was pro in the 80's, answer, winning Olympic gold something Tyson tried to do and failed which meant he joined the pro ranks earlier than what he should.

Him being the youngest champ and a big superstar has got nothing to do with the initial negative point you was trying to make.

    You haven't a clue.

Holyfield was no.1 contender for the belts and Douglas also refused to fight Tyson and King would not pay Douglas his deserved purse as a champ. After that he retired. Had Tyson the control to tell Douglas he was not allowed to retire as well? Obviously not.

Well done, you've just about covered every alcoholic, junkie, and loony in the Heavyweight division from that era with that list.

Funny how it took Tyson 2 attempts to get the better of Ruddock, compared to Lewis destroying him in no time at all, yet you claim Tyson won in better fashion.:roll:

You are as wierd as that other Lewis hater, Mongoose.

You are wasting your time trying to educate pork. 42 - 1 underdogs are indeed average, despite the opinions of ******ed Tyson fanboys who have now elevated Douglas to superstardom. And as you RIGHTLY point out, he NEVER avenged a defeat. Not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as Lewis. A low life street mugger given a boxing licence, nothing more, and nothing less, with the street muggers mentality, run away when the intended victim turns on the mugger.

The only one with an obsession about Lewis is you with your hatred of the man.

As for the second part, you are 100% correct, I do indeed despise America, and all things connected to it.

As for you posting a copy of a contract offer on a public forum could lead to you getting arrested, BULL**** !! If it is already in the public domain, then you are not in breach of any laws. If you are claiming to be an insider with Byrd, or King, then either ( a ) you have an agenda, against Lewis, making your posts completely biased, and consequently worthless, or ( b ) you are a bigger liar than I previously thought.

lennox is underrated in my mind but when you suffer two one-punch KOs during your title reign vs fighters who are not considered greats of the sport, it hurts your cause. i don't really have a list but i could see him in the top 15 i guess.
