Personally I think these threads are started by Klitschko haters. Just so people can bash them some more and say all their fans are ******s. You never can be to sure . Who could think Lewis was a poor champ or legacy. As a Klit fan would I have loved a rematch vs Vit ? Of course. But it didn't happen. Doesn't take away from what Lewis accomplished or what the Bros continue to do. I think with all three of their styles and physical advantages they'd be a H2H problem for any heavyweight past or present.
Oh look let's post a picture of Lewis getting knocked out and that proves he is overrated. Ok. How about I post a picture of Joe Louis being KO'd by Schmeling. or Armstrong being KO'd by some guy called Al, or Foreman being KO's by Ali - This obviously means everything on ESB and automatically proves a fighter is this 'thing' called 'overrated' or 'exposed' or a 'bum'. Yes, that's right let's call any fighter who has been stopped rubbish because that's how we like to spend our time on the forum - doing fighter's down instead of focussing on the good things they have done or their OBVIOUS skill. Fail thread.
Their so good they've had many fights aired on premier boxing channels dumbass. It's only when the Americans fighters craped out did the U.S. channels start to lose interest. Why would Americans care or route for someone thats not their nationality or race. Years ago the HBO announcers were head over heals with them. talking about how handsome Wlad is or how skilled they both are. Don't beleive me go watch the HBO replays of Mercer, McCline etc. etc... Their not on HBO for one reason. Nobody expects them to lose. No drama and no local attraction. That simple
Interestingly, Lewis was a very unpopular champ, both in the US where he was negatively compared to Mike Tyson, and in the UK where he was dismissed as a "Canadian." It's only now that he is viewed so positively by those who hate the Klitschkos.
If it's due to a lack of American fighters explain why Briggs, Johnson and Chambes (I think) were flat out rejected by HBO.
Not even trying to bash Lewis . think he is great. As I've stated in an above post. But how many Southpaws did Lewis fight??. I know I heard him say he hated to fight them and would try not to. Maybe why he didn't fight Moore or Byrd, Sanders. Not saying he'd lose but maybe why he didn't. Moore was champ when lewis was around yet no fight. Sanders only had 2 loses, hardly a thing to be laughed at, considering Rahman fought Sanders 1 fight before he fought Lewis most have meant he was ranked and was not a complete joke plus he hurt rahman. Out of the 5 all time southpaw heavyweight champs that their have been( Moore, Byrd, Sanders, Chagaev, Ibraimov ). Wlad has fought 4 of them, the exception being Moore. And is 4-1 All while the belt was on the line.. Not to bad.
Cause who thought they were going to win??????? Johnson was green and had never even been shown on TV besides maybe a ESPN telecast, to 1st even start to gather a following. Chambers was well undersized and a huge underdog, and Briggs please, only people that knew he was still boxing were the guys who saw him beat Rob Calloway. Sounds like I'm bashing the opponents and the Klit's opponents but let me explain. Johnson was undeserved but undefeated as well Plus American , and This content is protected Combine that with his horrible performance and effort no wonder HBO turned their back on the American crop, not the Klitschko's. Chambers was well deserved of the opportunity. He beat Dimitrenko, and Peter, plus had a good go with Povetkin. This lies fully on the networks for not picking it up. A guy finally earns his shot and they disrespect it. Probably cause they knew the outcome, like most of us. Briggs voluntary was a ploy to cash in Germany for two guys with high KO%s. Briggs being most 1st Rd Kos ever. and Look what happen there. he had his face re adjusted, just like the networks knew. Don't make it like it's the first time it happen
