Lewis would lose to any of the great American Heavyweights in their prime.

I am no fan of Alien but in this instance he is correct. Vits corner already had him out of there, bandage and all.

Heres a clue - no dressings allowed on the wound.

He beat Holyfield twice. He broke Vitali's face open. He wrecked Tyson. He was totally legit.

You can do the same moronic analysis with just about any HW and say they have poor legacy.

IMO Lewis has the greatest HW resume next to Ali.

This thread is sad. Lennox has a who's who of superstar Heavywieghts from the 90's and early 2000's on his resume with a win over each one.

    He's an olympic gold medalist.

    He's a H2H nightmare for anyone.

He left the sport on a win and saved one of his best performances for his swansong.

and he's also got a cool accent.

    **** the Haters

Having strong legacy means to me, first of all to fight best available opponents. Lennox on his peak obviously avoided some - Byrd, Wlad just to name few! Also Vitali fight happened rather by accident.

I’m anything but LL hater. You just have to admit fighting Byrd and Wlad was appropriate, and a possible win over them would afterwards boost his legacy strongly, avoiding them other way around. Also not giving Vitali the promised and strongly required rematch did not exactly help him to the "unblemished reputation".

His legacy is far from poor tough.. it’s very good but has still some stigma, and sorely it was in Lennox hands to prevent it.

Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World with a deep resume and wins over the best guy to come before him (Holyfield) and the best guy to come after him (Vitali) - that's a pretty great legacy in my opinion.

the problem with Lennox is that he has been knocked out brutally multiple times

when i think of Lennox I think of him getting knocked out badly, and not as a result of a war or good fight, just someone knocking him the hell out, he has some knocked the hell out branding associated with his name unfortunately, and I know it affects my perception of him as a fighter and his ranking, regardless of the quality or lack thereof of his competition

Look at how the Lennox fans get angry at these FACTS.

They never answer with facts, but only with insults. They have no facts to show that Lennox wasn't the worst HW champ ever.

At least Wlad fought Chris Byrd, the guy who embarrassed Vitali and woyuld have done the same to Lennox.

Also, Lennox now knows why he did well to duck Wlad.

How can anyone defend Lennox? He was a scam. He hid in England until Mike Tyson went to jail.
