Thank God Lennox changed his mind and took the fight. Otherwise what else would we have to talk about, 10 years later

Wow, after re watching that fight I think you could have had Lewis winning at the time of the stoppage. What a great fight that was, the best one of each man's career. I'd say the first and fourth rounds were close, Lewis won rounds 5 and 6 and Klitschko won rounds 2 and 3.

Very good fight indeed. Klitschko has one hell of a chin, it's amazing how he uses his unorthadox style to avoid punches and punch back while seemingly off balance. Lewis did catch him with a huge uppercut in round six that seemed to stop him in his tracks though, but Klitschko was bleeding a lot by then.

    Good even fight imo.

Twisting things to suit your agenda again?

Lewis did want to fight Vitali, he'd been in negotiations. However as per usual (and what has become a habit with Klitschko) Vitali tried playing hardball, but Lewis isn't a second rate chump that can be pushed around and called off negotiations.

The WBC had stated that the title not be on the line vs Johnson, Lewis had nothing to do with that decision.

Lewis said what about Vitali? Funny, the interview that's here on ESB with Manny and Lewis both give him props bigtime.

Finally, and Lewis is quoted saying this prior to Klitschko, he only wanted Tyson and Jones Jr after Klitschko. That's 2 big money fights, far more than the 67% he'd have got for a Klitschko rematch. No wonder he was so pissed, I mean who beats their mandatory only to be ordered to immediately fight your mandatory again??? How many times in boxings history has this happened, ever??

grouche - Are you taking the mick? lol. He did nothing in round 6, Lewis nearly took his head off in that round with an uppercut. For me, Lewis won the first, fifth and sixth and Klitschko won the second, third and fourth. HBO had Klitschko winning the first three and losing the fourth and fifth (might have been the third and fifth). They didn't score the sixth but Lewis clearly won that round.

Don't get me wrong Klitschko is an ATG but that reminded me that Lewis is a bit better imo.

I don't mind you saying that Klitschko was winning because it was close, but don't talk rubbish and say he won the sixth.

Well if you watch that video, the general impresion you get is that the short notice worked towards Vitali's favour. Vitali is one of the most consitstant champions of all time (unlike Lewis, who at that stage of his career was becoming inconsistamt) and was quoted as saying he trained as hard for that as any other fight. Take into account Lewis hadn't fought in over a year and came in at a career high 256 1/2 lbs and you can't blame short notice.
