He got lax and then improved for the rematch, Lewis`s right hand was getting sloppy from the Bruno fight, Steward said he spotted this and taught McCall to look for this flaw in training and counter, Lewis`s 1-2 was far tighter under Steward, he hardly threw any 1-2`s v Bruno.

Hamed was always going to get exposed at a higher level, his strange style could only take him so far.

I agree, Hearns pre late 80`s was far more skilled than Leewis and Wlad and both clinched in some of their big fights excessively because they wouldn`t punch there way out of trouble and though they had qualities you could see they were making mistakes and not listening to Steward the way a prime Hearns did, Lewis was really holding vTyson early on and was warned about it twice, Steward then told him to calm down, don`t be scared this guy is really beatable right now, Lewis looked bervous early on that one.

He`s running out of time but he definately needs to sit down with someone and study his loss to Fury, he needs to learn how to deal with Fury`s step jab, don`t know what`s going to happen with Wilder`s career now that Corona is screwing things up since he is 35 years old.

Someone like Steward could have really made the difference in Wilder being elite level and world level.

Yeah, cause Corona is the reason his career is ****ed
He HAD someone like Steward. Isn't Breland a Kronk fighter, trained by Steward? Didn't Wilder also train with Steward himself for a period? He HAD all those things and look what he's done with them

Steward never seemed satisfied with any of his fighters in the corner. That's exactly what makes him stand out compared to the rest. He always told them as it is and pointed out what they needed to do in aggressive fashion. When he was satisfied though, he really showed it. He may not be considered the greatest trainer in general and I don't expect him to either, he's just my personal favorite. He trained my favorite fighter of all-time(Thomas Hearns) after all.

I won't argue with you there and you make strong points that are impossible to argue with, it's just personal preference. I guess I'm a bit biased there because Steward(Rest in Peace) trained my favorite fighter of all-time(Thomas Hearns).
