Man! People really think the 70's was the bomb!
Many just can't separate competitive fights from quality fighters.....Lewis walks through the 70s............

Holmes has got knocked down before, and got up every time EXCEPT against Tyson. and he wasn't even close to his prime against tyson anyway

If a prime holmes fought rahman and mccall, had he got knocked down he certainly would have got up. no doubt about it. that's the main difference. Holmes would never have let himself get knocked out against mccall and rahman anyway. infact he outboxed mccall when he was an old man

Holmes clearly had better hand speed, moved better, (come on), Lewis had awful footwork. And Holmes's jab was definitely more consistent then Lewis's, and overall better.
I completely disagree with this. but i'm not gonna get nasty about it.

To be fair Lennox did get up against McCall and the stoppage was a poor one by the ref, especially given that Lennox was defending his belt in a title fight. I still reckon Holmes wins a decision.

Yeah, no kidding. If second-raters like McCall or Rahman could crack Lewis's shaky whiskers, Big George Foreman would obliterate them. I'd pick Frazier and possibly Holmes to take him as well. Ron Lyle and Jerry Quarry would both have decent punchers' chances, and if Earnie Shavers crack Lewis's questionable beard.

Lewis is, hands down, probably the most overrated HW champ going today. He's not even the best of his own era, let alone anything other than a contender in the Ali-Frazier-Foreman era

He was a little wobbly on his feet, ref just doing his job.

Him against young foreman would have been real good. Foreman puts on lots of pressure and they would get into a Briggs-Lewis type brawl but Foreman aint no briggs.

Who should have Lewis fought to get better recognition. Bowe, Tyson? Both guys didn't want no part of him in the 90s. Can't see these smaller heavyweights in the 70s causing much problems myself. Guys like Rahman and McCall, may not be the most talented, but they can sure pack a hard punch when catching someone.

Ali would beat him, Liston would be a threat, Frazier would be a threat, and I'd favor Foreman over him.
