Lewis thrashes Frazier and stops Foreman in an upset (for the time). He loses to Ali 2-1 in a three fight series, and draws 1-1-1 with Holmes in another three fight series.

This is just a lot of spin, straight out of the Lewis camp playbook of the era. A Bowe-Lewis fight was all but signed for 1995, when Lewis went and got himself taken out by McCall. Lewis took MILLIONS in set-aside money NOT to fight Tyson. His choice.

Bottom line? He didn't fight ANY of the other top guys in the era - Tyson, Holyfield, or Bowe - when it mattered. And he got taken out early by two mediocre contenders. He's the ONLY top level HW champion to have that happen to him when he held the title. The only one.

Overrated? Lewis isn't just overrated - he's ABSURDLY overrated by some boxing fans today. Forget Ali, Foreman, Frazier or Holmes - I think it's questionable whether he beats Quarry, Lyle, or Shavers!

Funny, especially when you consider that Lewis is far superior.

Lewis would have been a force in any era. As far as Lewis beating Ali, Holmes, and Foreman ...I don't know man. Those would be fights I would just sit back and watch without betting any money. I do think Lewis knocks out Fraizer and Norton though.

You are entitled to your opinion. But you are dreaming. Anything near peak Ali beats him every day of the week. Peak Foreman hospitalises him. Holmes beats him. Watch more vids from the 70's mate.

How in the hell can Ali be seen so highly by so many?

The man maybe was in two "Fixed" fights (Liston)

Had to cheat to get by 33-11-1 Henry Cooper.

Went 15 rounds with a club fighter in Wepner.

    Got many gift decisions.

And Fans just keep posting crazy **** about this man!:patsch

I'd take Ali to exploit Lewis' balance issues, Foreman to punch him out, Holmes on like a 55/45 basis so it's close, and I think he beats Frazier pretty easily. Place him against Ali's comp though and he probably has a few other losses seeing as how he was 'capable' of getting sparked by the likes of Rahman and McCall

    Foreman sparks him.
    Ali out-boxes him.
Frazier could take a hell of a shot and give one. This is a question of who fights at their preferred distance.
Quarry was big and never went down. He'd give Lewis some tough rounds, but only have a slight puncher's chance. I think he hit about as hard as Rahman.
Shavers has a puncher's chance. I would LOVE to see those two in the ring.
Lewis' height takes away Holmes best weapon, the jab.

He would be good, but not dominate. Nobody did. I would say that he would do better than Wlad, though.

Ignore him, to make Wlad look better he claimed Haye had faster hands than Tyson...:rofl
