    Damn Zak, you must have a collection of these quotes saved somewhere to copy and paste them as needed. If not you should....

    I'm just surprised you didn't drag out the "Ham 'n eggers" on this one.....:D

    Actually I just whip 'em off anew each time! It's more fun that way! This one kinda succinctly summarizes the argument quite well, don't ya think??:lol:

    I agree also. the greatest cross in heavyweight history I think, not in all history, that would go to Tommy Hearns. Great jab and right cross of Lennox and he was quick. The only weakness is that he lost concentration a few times and was stopped, but he avenged them both. His knockout of Golota was impressive considering how much trouble Golota gave Bowe.

    You have to be kidding. Lennox was the real champ when Ruiz was champ. The lighter guys who wanted an easy title fought John, and the ones who wanted to real title fought Lennox. Lennox beat Tua on an easy decision and look what happened when Tua fought Ruiz. Wasn't it a knockout in 19 seconds or so? Ruiz would get stopped by Lennox in 3 or 4 rounds I think. They do not even compare.

    You might have a point there. However, Rahman stopped Lennox. He lost a very easy fight to Ruiz.

    Great for Lewis. He deserves it. He's one of the best heavyweights in history.

    He lost to Rahman only because he didn't take him seriously. And in the rematch he AVENGED his loss in brutal fashion. So that knockout was a fluke.

    This also could be said about DLH last lost, doesn't make it any better.

    It does, actually. In the whole fight Lewis was winning, then got sloppy and Rahman caught him. But the second fight proved that that fight was a fluke.
    If DLH comes out and ko's Manny then that statement would make some sense.

    Once again, Zak, you are impossibly biased and cannot look at the situation logically and rationally.

    Getting knocked out early is a major black mark? Fine, but you should at least acknowledge that in the McCall fight, he beat the count and should have been given the opportunity to fight on. The Rahman fight he was unfocused and undertrained, that's his own fault, but he corrected the equation in the rematch.

    Who do you rate above him? Holyfield will be one no doubt, which is just ****ed.

    How many ATG heavies can fill this list of qualifications?

    * Beat everyone they ever faced. (Right away, Lewis is in a class shared only by Marciano)

    * Never lost a points decision.

    * Never lost a rematch.

    * Retired as champion.

    * Olympic Gold medallist.

    * 18 World Title fights, official record 15-2-1 (True record 16-2)

    * Three-time heavyweight champion of the world.

    And you hold it against him that he didn't fight Bowe, who he stopped in the Olympic gold medal match? The same Bowe who threw the heavyweight title belt in the trash can rather than face Lewis?

    You look down on Lewis for not fighting Bowe, a man who is nowhere near as accomplished and who pulled the most disgraceful ducking act in boxing HISTORY to get out of fighting Lennox?

    :hat

    Pray tell me which "great fighters of his era "Lennox didnt face.
    Dont you dare say Riddick Bowe.
    Lennox did everything possible to embarass that fat coward into fighting him. I was there personally when Lennox and a girl in a chicken suit with CHICKEN BOWE on it got in his face. Bowe just slunk away:patsch:fire:patsch
