That's right. At the expense of his own career.

I think Vitali has finally realized this.

If you notice, he hasn't mentioned Lewis in awhile, and has been lately calling out Valuev instead.

I am not a fan of Lewis, don't like him, don't dislike him. But he was an outstanding champion. Coming back at the age of 44 after being out for several years, even for a fighter of Lewis' caliber, is not a good idea. It's not about legasies or unfinished business, It's about safety and health. He should not return. Lord knows he has enough money.

i agree 100%. he's no reason to come back. if its to rematch vitali then why wait so long? some mention valuev, but that would surely be just for money, as the guy took a very questionable decision against a shot version of holyfield. its bull****. empty rumours, lewis wont come back. as much as i'd like to see him come back and knock everyone out it just wont happen.

God, if Lewis came back only because he saw "flaws" in Vitali after his last performance, he'd look like even more of a puss than he already does for retiring after their fight. Afterall, Lewis had plans for fighting Holyfield and Tyson before the Vitali fight. He even said he'd rematch Vitali if his appointed doctor cleared Vitali, then backed out after Vitali was cleared and chose to have one more fight, but with Kirk Johnson only to be given the rasberry by HBO, who wanted a Lewis-Klit rematch.

He won't come back but if he did you'd hear Buffer saying "Your winner and once again the WBC heavyweight champion of the world Lennox Lewis"

If the money is right and what is going on behind the scenes is still up in the air...We have not heard a word from either fighter, only silence maybe the leak of this event/fight will truely happen in the near future....Time will tell very soon! Go Lennox Lewis!

This is getting beyond boring. Lewis WON'T come back, not for Vitali or anyone else, even if the Heavyweight title was up for grabs WITHOUT the need to fight he won't come back either. He did what he had to do and is finished with the sport, coming back won't "save" the sport it will hurt it to be honest.

Lennox Lewis come-back aside, the sport isn't in danger to need anyone to save it from anything. There are many great active fighters available with many great fights that can happen.
