:smoke Well LL was massive with massive power and great boxing skill topped off with great RING smarts ! At his best LL just might be favoured against any champ in any era !:deal
None, if you don't count: Heart problems Shoulder problems Decisions where one sportswriter had him winning Any fights over the age of 32 I saw Lewis outboxed by Bruno. But Lewis had a plan B - power - that Holy never had.
Wow. Gotta give the Lewis Fanclub credit, they really "stand by their man." So far this is by far the most popular post-holocaust thread. I knew it would be! Thanks guys, couldn't have all this fun without ya! :good
Zak...How come you hold Moorer so highly DESPITE his weakass chin? Come's off very hypocritical. Simply becuase he has a win over Holy?
I've said SEVERAL times Moorer had a glass jaw. That he was able to be as competitive as he was with such a serious achilles heel is to his credit. Lewis, too, in this regard, btw. The Lewis booster club doesn't realize by I actually have a lot of respect for Lewis for making adjustments post-McCall to protect those shaky whiskers. :nod In some sense, BOTH Holyfield and Lewis had to overcome handicaps to achieve greatness - with Holyfield it was size, and with Lewis, a shaky chin.:hey
If Lewis's chin was so bad, why weren't two fighters, Holy and Tyson, able to KO him? Sure both were passed their best date, but if they were so much better, wouldn't faded versions STILL beat weak chinned fighter?
Come on now, those are lies. WBO has always allowed unification. That was a myth. Remember that Acelino Freitas was a WBA/WBO unified Champion during that period of time. So, that sort of throws that argument out of the windown doesn't it? Also W. Klitschko was on record asking for a fight against Lewis for almost 3 years before his loss to Sanders. How many years does someone have to be the #1 contender in the World before the Champion is supposed to fight him? That was a huge fight to be made, and Lewis always stayed away from it. As Lewis stayed away from most fights in which the styles of his opponents didn't suit him and so forth. Dropping title after title in order to avoid his #1 contenders. Then you had W. Klitschko who was the #1 Contender in the World by Ring Magazine, and Lewis wouldn't even discuss fighting him.
hey me and WEIGHT pretty much disagree on everything ( he isnt nice like me :yep ) ! but LLs greatness and ring accomplishments rank with the best and your opinion of him strikes me as rediculous ! ( Your really just ****ing with us arnt you ? ) :deal
You've been around here awhile now, haven't you?? While I always amp it up a bit, you must know I'm dead serious about Holyfield being better than Lewis. To me, it's not even really that debatable. Now, Tyson v. Lewis for the second spot, THAT'S debatable.:yep
