We could also show Holyfield getting up from a knockdown and continuing to fight. That is an element that Lewis never had.

And? Both have their deficiencies and advantages. You guys can harp on Lewis getting KO'd, but you can't deny that he was a devastating puncher and that he was a threat to turn any fight around in the blink of an eye at any time. Lewis was a devastating puncher while Holyfield was anything but, that counts at least as much as the chin argument when comparing the two even if you want to deny it

By the way what fight was Holyfield knocked down in that he won? Oh that's right, he lost them all so your point is moot. After all didn't you already try to argue that the Cooper knockdown wasn't really a knockdown? :yep

You are explaining the point that I was making. Maybe your post is out of context, because I haven't been following all of the other arguments in this thread.

But Zakman, surely if Lewis's chin was so shaky it would only need one good Tyson hook to floor him right? Tyson landed said hook and Lewis did not fall. Can you tell me what happened Zakman?

Moreover, it's all very convenient to say that Holyfield was never a big hitter at HW when he dropped Bowe with a single left hook and was the first man to floor Ray Mercer.

The truth is Zakman, you just don't like little things like facts to get in the way of arguments. They are just kind of inconvenient aren't they, those pesky little facts. Like Lewis beating Holyfield, not once, but twice in the eyes of practically everyone except 3 old men sitting ringside. Like Lewis beating every man put in front of him. Like Lewis holding onto the HW title longer than Holyfield did. Like Lewis only ever being floored twice yet because of this he has been labelled by you as having a glass jaw.

You're out and out biased when it comes to both Lewis and Holyfield. How about having the cojones to admit it?

Zakman doesn't have something personally against Lewis though.

It's just that he has to discredit him because Lewis thoroughly beat up Holyfield, twice.

Look at how he has made an ESB career out of discrediting Ruiz when Ruiz beat Holyfield. Look at how he's talking Bowe up to be something great to elevate Holyfields ranking, while in fact Bowe's done next to nothing outside of the Holyfield fights. He's even so delusional that he denies that Bowe ducked Lewis and that "the money wasn't there". That Jesse Fergusson fight and Michael Dokes fight was huge though !

The funny thing is that having a "glass" chin (according to Zakman) never stopped Lewis from dominating Holyfield despite Holyfield landing some good shots. Let's not even get started about the even more glass chinned Moorer, who also beat Holyfield.

Definetly Moorer at heavyweight not better than McCall and Rahman.
Moorer lost to old fat mummy, then was hammered in seconds by Tua etc. He has ONE real win - over Evander (and likes of Botha, Stewart etc) :yep Rahman has win over Lewis and Sanders, McCall - over Lewis. So Moorer equal to OM and HR at better. I saw Moorer against good punchers like Tua, Cooper, Foreman (who even coudnt out Morrison and Stewart :hey ) and made a conclusion - Moorer a glassy B-level boxer. He never taste the true bombs like Rahman did, thats why he still active and relatively able to box. :smoke And Holyfield lost to this B-level boxer, lost in terms of boxing skills, no lucky shots, no bad decosions. Only ability to box is matter.

yeah, he was a just a celebrated bum who had nothing more than a lucky streak for 15 years against the best available with a few lucky punches here and there.

I admire the enthusiasm and optimism here, but Zakman and Radar managed to keep a Lewis argument going for nearly 70 pages on the old 'No doubt Lewis would've knocked out Vitali in the 7th round thread', basically just saying the same things over and over and over and over...

    ...and over and over again.

How about we start a 'Riddick Bowe is overrated' thread? That would have a lot more meat to it.

Only Bruno ever outboxed Lewis, but Frank was underrated.

We should really stop responding to Zakman's Lewis threads I guess.

All you need to do is keep in mind that the whole issue is that Zakman STILL hasn't got over the fact that is boy Holyfield was beaten clearly over 2 fights by Lennox.

From now on, whenever I see any post from Zakman about Lewis, no matter what the words say, all I will hear is....

"Waaaaa :| Waaaaa :| Lennox you bully! Leave that beautiful old man alone! Waaaaa :|"
