I know i get slaughtered by some of you and i don't want to do LL bashing because i'm a fan of LL myself but this fought came to my mind, i checked it and it is mostly true though it's debatable. fact is he couldn't finish or knock down any opponent who had a unquestionable chin like evander, tua, mavrovic, mccall and mercer. tyson had a decent chin in his prime but when he fought lewis he was clearly shot and his chin wasn't what it once was.
    anyone agrees?

But...that's why they had good chins. Because they were able to fight a puncher like Lewis and make it to the end. One begets the other.

he didn't always fight for the KO so why does it matter what you think??

surely he was winning that fights comfortably and didn't want to take unnecessary risks but koing one of the mentioned guys would have taken his puncher status to another level.

Well he got a TKO over McCall when McCall broke down. He also got a TKO on cuts over Vitali.

He also KOed Tyson, who had a good chin, but was a bit shot at the time.

mccall cried because he was three days out of rehab and didn't want to be there.

Of course he didn't, when he was getting punched in the face by Lennox Lewis. Would you want to be there?

Vitali lost due to cuts, it wasn't like Lennox KO'd him or even knocked him down.

He couldnt carry on though could he? And that was arguably Vitali's best performance and one of Lewis's worst yet he was still only 2 rounds down with 6 to go and Klitschko was a pure bloody mess.

Fail to see the point here...

So Lewis didn't stop Hollyfield - well neither did big George, Holmes, Bowe, Moorer, Tyson and 47 other figthers...

He didn't stop Tua - no-one else ever did...

He didn't stop McCall - no-one else ever did...

He didn't stop Mercer - only Wlad and Briggs stopped him - and trhat was long after his prime...

Lewis carried good power and stopped 32 in 41 wins - that's pretty good. of his 43 fights 17 was for a WC-belt.

Tyson couldn't stop: Tilis, James Smith (who was stopped by the likes of Brian Nielsen and Lionel Butler) and Tony Tucker - does that make Tyson a weak puncher???
