That's a good way to put it. I don't think he's thick by any means but I do think he has a higher estimation of his intelligence than is really justified. He often says quite banal things with the air of someone imparting the greatest secrets of the universe. I still like him and admire his achievements which were tremendous, but at times in interviews he's just a bit cringe.
H2H I have him top 2 ever, so im not stamping on him here, but I do think all his intelligence is between the ropes, as soon as he steps out and talks it is hard work, like a superior intelligence from him when its not the case.. Always always tried to be clever in interviews when he was active, gave nothing away to the point fans couldn't accept him properly, he was closed shop...
Spot on. He was so keen to show that he was aware of any potential traps in a question that he wound up not saying anything. He boxed more defensively in his interviews than he ever did in the ring.
Lol! This pseudo intellectual ***** STILL uncomfy when Vitali’s name is brought up. Hilarious Joe should have asked him why he told Vitali he’d give him a rematch then got the **** outta dodge after Klitschko destroyed Johnson then called out Lewis into the camera with a psycho look in his eyes. Joe should have also asked Lennox why he felt such a need to call Corrie Sanders the night before facing Wladimir to give Corrie an urgent pep talk. Kinda weird to give possibly your biggest paying fight’s stay busy opponent a pep talk! I mean I thought Lennox was going to have “One Klitschko for lunch and the other for dinner” Lol
I don't think it was as much an identity crisis as I thought years ago, him coming from Canada back to England, the accent, etc, that's what I thought was the problem as he should've been more popular, it was simply his personality. If it wasn't for Maloney, he would've been ****ed, he done great PR work for Lennox, tried his hardest to turn Lewis in to the next Bruno fan wise, all it would've took was Lewis to be a bit more bendable and people would've fell in love with him in the UK far more
I used to like Rogan, but I think there's a snake in him..I also think my opinion of him would hurt him !
I don't know about that, he had some success in the first 3/4 rounds but Lewis took control after that. Lewis's jab was a thing of great beauty.
