This was in late 2000 or early 2001, somewhere between the Tua and Rahman fights. His acting isn't great, but his hair looks good. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txv81pjoNLw[/ame]
all u talk about is lewis or tua no one gives a ****, though butterbean wont be 2 happy. If your gonna post this rubbish do it in general, *****.
I'm not saying Lennox was gay but he always seems a little uncomfortable and awkward around women, maybe he's a naturally shy character
had to stop watching, lewis is really awkward. this falls a long way short of holyfield's acting skills: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DzbjWnFpXE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DzbjWnFpXE[/ame]
Yeah. Lewis kept his personal life private. Other than his mother, no other women were in his entourage or seen with him. I can understand why people thought he was gay. He seemed like the "mama's boy" type who was never interested in the ladies, but of course, he kept it under wraps. Holyfield playing a tough guy is hilarious. And just think, if Tyson had still been champion, it would have been him making this cameo appearance. (which would have been so much better) Also, Riddick Bowe appeared on Fresh Prince once, too.
i just thought holyfield's timing was so good in that episode. the way he moves as he talks makes him come across as really genuine. i was surprised when i first saw it, for some reason i thought he'd be stiff and unconvincing!
Lennox is a shy dude, even behind close doors. But believe it or not, a real violent guy. Long fuse, but if you made him angry, he'd try to **** you up. I do love the man, though. He's been nothing but nice and cordial to me for years and years every time I run into him, when he had no reason to remember who I was at all.
Yeah. Holyfield disappointed me a little. I was waiting on him to mention the power of Jesus. But he never did in this cameo. You know Lennox? Wow. Got any other stories or insights on the man?
I fought him, spent a night at the fights with him, and got to visit him in camp once. We're by no means close, but he's a cool guy and much more of a demon in the ring then people realize. His temperament against tough fighters in tough fights reminds me of Erik Morales in a way. He only got complacent when it dawned on him that he was going to win easily, interestingly. He told me once that the more in control of the fight he was in, the better he felt about boxing smart and taking his time. When he was uncomfortable, he started to punch hard and more often. Calls me on my birthday sometimes, but I hear he keeps a list and does this with a lot of people. Cool dude. Fun fight fan. Abysmal stint with HBO though. Horrible taste in beer.
That's awesome. Can you ask him why he wears his dreads? If there's a spiritual or religious meaning to it?
If I talk to him this year, we've got a month or so till that happens. Pretty sure its just a Jamaican pride thing, though. His Dad did it, I think.
I heard quite a few stories as well when I was living in Kitchener. Like MagnaNasakki said don't make Lennox angry he'll ****in kill you. My Aunt actually cleaned his shorts at the dry cleaners after the Tyson fight in '02. I'm pretty sure it was the Tyson fight, she said it was pretty bloody. I think his mom still lives in Kitchener, up by fairway in the big ass house.
I had no idea Lennox was so hot tempered. He seems so chill and laid back. He even took it remotely well when he got screwed over in the first fight with Evander Holyfield. He was certainly upset, but he didn't flip out the way that most other people would have. Emmanuel Steward did most of the cursing for him! lol. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5953iPbkjc[/ame]
