No, Ali did not want it like this. Muslim have to be buried within 3 days at the latest. He was an observant Muslim. His wife, Bonnie I think is non Muslim, and has managed to alienate his family since the 1980s. Furthermore she is the one who is in full control of his wealth, assets, power of attourney etc.

How else are they meant to carry the body to the place of burial? The term may not be called "Pallbearer" but it's standard for people to carry the body to the place of burial.
