Lewis is easily the most overrated hw in history, but he beat Vitali, or at least that's what the records show even though he was behind in the fight and had to rely on opening a cut with dirty boxing to secure a stoppage. In my view the Vitali fight and the manner of his retirement and reneging on promises did not add to his legacy. As far as Tyson goes, he was shot completely and Holyfield was also past it although the Lion could not put a dent on him in over two dullish fights. Bowe, who cares, did not fight so nothing to talk about except an amateur bout.
If you think he went life and death with Holy in the 1st fight then you shouldn't be posting on this board pretending that you have a clue about boxing. You Muppet.
It is Bowe got battered at the Olympics by Lennox and was so terrified of getting another beating he dropped his belt. Embarrassing to be honest from a heavyweight champion.
In that era, America's best heavyweight (Bowe) dropped his belt rather than get battered by Lewis. Bowe completely bottled it. Might be an Amercian trait, never really thought about it, Bowe, Mayweather "retired" a couple of times to avoid fighters, recently Quillin dropped his belt. I'll have to have a think about fighters from "the home of the brave" and see who else did similar things.
ROFLMAO !! Are you Eugenia Williams??? You must be cause she is the only person I know that thought Vander won. She was told to score that way by King. Lennox was robbed even Vander himself was man enough to admit he got beat Lennox beat every man he faced in the pro ring You know what caused Vanders " heart problems" don't you surelyatsch
Shut up fool... But I agree Lewis won 11 of 12 rounds in their first encounter.. but you're still a cornball:deal
Twas supreme. To wit: he managed to shove Briggs around, grappling him to a standstill and throwing a damper on the front-runner's early offensive bursts.
So bitter. TEEKAYOH in siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiix! :hi: http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=422560
Holyfield himself said Bowe was the best opponent he'd ever faced, not saying Bowe beats Lewis, but I'd take Holyfield's word and opinion over your assumption.
