AJ: “Give me 50 mil then and I’ll sign tomorrow ... it’s not real ... Wilder chats ****”

Wilder: “Hey bro I got you your 50 mil, now sign”

AJ: “Errrmmm, actually no let’s do this in the UK. The fans... yeah the fans, that’s a good excuse Eddie, nice one”

This is the problem with the anti-Wilder rhetoric online: people will just completely fabricate the truth. Wilder never said he would fight for “anything”, he clearly and fairly stated that he would take any purse split if the exact opposite split would apply to Joshua in a rematch.

Previous purses have no relevance to these negotiations.

Oh that, god sake. I dont really care about that. To offer 50 million to Joshua Wilder would have to get 50 million from Haymon too, thats 100 million, plus another 30 to cover the costs of everything. This is not a 130 million Dollar fight in the USA or UK, not even close. Joshua said what he said because when he said it is seemed a ridiculous amount of money that was unrealistic. But they called his bluff, made him look a bit of an idiot. But thats all they did, they called his bluff and now the big Wilder fans and even himself and his managers are hanging off it like its all the proof they need.

Haymon was willing to put more than 100 million in to a fight that isnt guna make anything near that but the fight had to be in America, they are desperate to have it in America. Hearn and Joshua and alot of Boxers, trainers and promoters outside of America do not trust they can get a fair fight in America and from what ive seen over recent years i dont blame them, America has become the real home of corruption and cheating in World Boxing. Which is exactly the reason Haymon wants it in America, so they can rob Joshua, get the belts then promote Wilder as the undisbuted and try to reclaim some of that crazy money he pumped into the 1st fight.

Hearn is only willing to offer money that is representable to the figures an AJ Wilder fight creates, not a crazy figure like Haymon. But the fight has to be in the UK cuz he knows the importance of home advantage and doesnt trust Joshua to be given a fair fight in the States. Especially seeing haymon offering to pump much more money in to a fight that he is ever likely to get back from it. If Haymon is willing to pump this much in then he is willing to pay off a judge or 3 and a ref.

All seems a bit far fetched and conspiricy like or paranoid? Yeah but this **** is going down its just none of those in the sport are willing to say it how it is because of the sue culture we all live in. So yes Joshua got his pants pulled down over a youtube interview where he got his bluff called and Wilder fans have jumped on it big time. Joshua is the A side and this fight has to happen in the UK. No matter what he said.

Lennox isn't wrong. Joshua did change his tune about the $50 mill number, he threw out a flippant statement and it came back to bite him. Fact is he's doing what all A sides do and that's use their leverage to get the fight on their terms and it looked like it was working with Wilder eventually agreeing to his terms but Wilder bolted at the final hurdle.

Would of been better if Joshua called their bluff and took the $50 mill, but A-side will A-side and eek out every advantage they can, when they can, maybe we should call him Anthony "A-side" Joshua, lol. It's an understandable position but not one that is admired by the fans, nobody likes a fighter being more businessman than fighter.

Interesting read mate but this is heavyweight boxing Haymon ain't going to gamble a vast portion of over a 100 million quid on wilders jaw . say for instance Wilder got parked up where would that leave his investment ?

Lewis has always had problems with/ been unsupportive of other brit heavyweights who came after him.

He's one of my favourite fighters but has always been insecure about his position historically.

wait wait wait we can't just forget what was previously said, and it has been on going since first negotiations began. Wilder DID say it was about legacy and not money, so it does play a factor if we are doing "he said that" etc

Joshua needs enough to get that title, but if he beats Wilder after Klitchko he is on his way.

Not a chance in hell does Joshua overtake Lewis, Joshua will be dethroned soon enough and exposed big time, he probably won't even come back.

Every single athlete says it’s not about money. Iniesta just signed for some Chinese team for crazy money and claimed money wasn’t the reason. Again I’m not sure what point you are trying to make. No one is expecting Wilder to accept a pittance for a fight of this magnitude and anyway he accepted the $15m flat fee offer so I don’t know what you are talking about. Joshua turned his nose up at $35m more than that in fear.

My point started at "changing tunes" and was using Wilder's previous comments as an example. How much do you think this fight is worth? and be honest. $15 million, "pittance" is an overstatement to say the least.

and for reference: Lewis Tyson made $112 million.

Wilder has come out and officially ducked the April fight. There's nothing to debate anymore, the fight isn't going to happen because of Wilder and there's nothing else to say on the matter

Lewis has the best resume of any HW in history, as he always fought the best. The only exception being when he was already old and had lost his motivation following the TKO6 debacle.

AJ cannot duck the only top HW out there, that everyone wants him to fight now, and get the same credit as Lewis is getting now when his career is over. People dont forget the duck and your arrogant rude promoter Hearn is really making you look bad.
