Can Berbick pull an upset here or does off night Lewis still beat him?

I think Lewis wins a decision in a boring fight.

I don't see any version of Berbick beating Lewis tbh ,not even the Sloppy Rahman ko victim. Lewis pounds out a decision win .

Berbick isnt any worse than Rahman, but would he be as lucky as Hasim? I think he never lands as clean as Rahman did and loses by dec.

Lewis destruction. Early. Trevor is going to walk into a right hand. And he'd go. He's open for an uppercut as well with that wading in at all times style of his. Once hurt, he has nothing to keep this guy off him. There is a reason Trevor did not face too many big hitters.

A fat uninterested Lewis wins on points in a dull huggfest.

Me neither but Berbick had beaten off night versions of Thomas and Page.

He was a character was Berbick. He should never really have beat Thomas, but credit to him.

I’m not ready to say that Berbick would definitely replicate what Rahman did. Two different fighters will always make for two different circumstances... I will say however that I don’t think Rahman was the ONLY fighter on that evening who might have upset Lennox. Lewis was unfocused and even clowning a bit and that’s dangerous no matter who you’re in there with...

If Berbick could ship the odd bomb who knows? Lewis was in crap physical and mental condition and paid the price. He's not the first boxer to pay for not acclimatising either. It all depends on how Berbick takes the odd punch. Berbick is one of these guys, like Norton, that took quite a good punch - up to a point. Lewis is beyond that point. Looking back at that night i think Lewis would get him early with something big, likely an uppercut and that might be all.

Precisely how I envisage it,Fergie. The Lewis of their second fight though, bombs Berbick out by the halfway mark.

Pretty sure Berbick didn't hit as hard as Rahman.

That said this incarnation of Lewis loses a perplexing UD. The champ just wasn't up for a fight with a world class opponent the caliber of...say, the Holmes-battling Berbick 81. For Berbick to have lasted a whole 15 against an undeniably prime Larry Holmes was imo his greatest accomplishment, and I don't care that he only won a couple of rounds in that fight, that guy would beat the rather detached Lewis of Rahman 1 imo.

I agree, though I kind of doubt Trevor would make it that long.
