it would be... But what can you do when we have these klitschko "The Running Men" of modern day keeping belt hostages.:bart
But it was his last fight. He doesn't want to fight anybody. If he fought other people then maybe you'd have a point. But I think calling a retired guy a ***** for not fighting someone he already beat up is bull****.
The Klitschkos offered 50-50 worldwide with no options. If that's not good enough, then what does Team Haye want exactly, can anyone explain ?
Haye def should stand his ground with 50/50. Haye is box office and his PPV numbers prove that. If anything he should ask for more than 50/50.
I think Haye wants 100% of UK TV Rights and he wants the Klits to have 100% of the German TV rights. The problem is UK TV rights are PPV and German has no PPV so it will be on terrestrial TV. So the Klits would get a set amount whereas Haye would make shitloads more. However, these are the stipulations that scuppered the last fight. Now the fight is bigger 50-50 seems like a better deal than it did at the time. I think this is the main stumbling block for the fight.
I thought the problem was the Klits wanted 100% of the german tv rights and then a cut of the UK PPV revenue. Thats just not on.
No, I'm pretty sure that's not true. I guess if the fight was split 50-50 they would be getting a majority of their purse from UK TV rights. as the German TV money would be **** all by todays standards. maybe this annoys Haye. But I heard that the last fight he stood to earn 1.5M. Now they're talking 5-6M+, so the actual percentages shouldn't matter to him so much. It's all about the bottom line really.
man... Dont you remember lennox talking about Fighting again someone else than Vitali? He did talk about retiting too, I give you that. But do you think Boxing World would have let that happen and ignore fighting Vitali again?:think It is just Lennox collided with Vitali and the rest is history... Before Vitali Lennox had 2 choises Fight some none riskey money fight or Retire After Fighting Vitali he had for his own Credibility to Fight Vitali again FOR SICK LOADS OF MONEY or retire Lennox chose to Retire Vitali would have given Lennox his hardest Fight at any point of his career, PERIOD.
So basically Haye could never earn anywhere near 5-6 million if he doesn't fight a Klitschko because he won't make much outside of England against anyone else... The Klitschko brothers make at least 3 million per fight in Germany. If the Klitschkos can nearly quadruple Haye's earnings with 1 fight alone, then it's a no-brainer that 50-50 equally split worldwide with no options on further fights is a GREAT DEAL !! Isn't it ?
Yes. it is now. It is a better deal for everyone this time around. Maybe the Harrison fight has served it's purpose. I think seeing such a mismatch has forced the spotlight onto the matchmaking and the politics in boxing. The sport NEEDS to make this fight happen like no other fight as pople are getting disolusioned and in this day and age MMA offers a real alternative. But it is a good deal, for everyone.
The truth is the Klits never beat a fighter of Haye's calbire. Can they step up? For me Wlad is there for the taking and Vitali can be outboxed. Briggs and Chinsora are just as bad a Harrison. Wlad has worked hard to bring up his hype level but he is still unproven against the best and has a weak chin - he has been sparked and Haye is fast enough, strong enough and disrespectful enough to do it.
