Acey voluntarily takes a knee a 5:23 and Lewis hits him with 3 blatant hard shots when he was on the canvas ? surely this should've been a DQ ? was it because Acey didn't make more of a meal of it ?

Fight was about to be stopped anyway, but yes those were flagrant and he could have been DQ'd. In a more competitive fight he probably would have been.

You cannot make a counter case on anything here. The fight was going, doesn't matter if it was competitive, about to be stopped, etc, etc. The fight was still ongoing and this is 500000% against the rules, 5000% blatant cheating, and he 50000% should have been DQ for it.

And this is coming from someone who think Lewis is one if not the best H2H fighter in the history of this sport, and i was a fan of his.
But that doesn't make me blind or try to excuse him on here. This was a clear DQ loss for Lewis right there.

And another reason why so many people don't like Boxing and it's politics/corruption. Absolutely disgraceful. If that was that on someone who is labeled as a "A" side, we all know how that would have played out.

Had Acey stayed down, then yeah he should have been 100% disqualified. But credit to Acey he didn't want to stay down and wanted to keep fighting even if it was clear he was going to lose if he did.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. You are Lewis fan, as i'm as well, but this is some next level b.c.
Acey staying down or getting up and even wanting to continue, and even if he was eager to not DQ Lewis, this ain't his decision, and there is rules that needs to be followed.
Staying down or not, has no effect and should not effect the rules. This was blatant and was multiple hard shots. Straight up DQ.
Who was winning the fight, or was about to lose, stop, etc is irrelevant.

    100% DQ. Boxing has rules

Fury should have been DQd for his illegal knockout of Cunningham.

Holding and hitting Bruno and Grant were other cases of Lewis not minding going dirty if he could get away with it. Disgraceful really but it's a dirty sport so people don't care much.

Lewis would have 3 losses on his record hope that helps.

What is the question here? Should Lennox Lewis have been disqualified?
Not only should Lennox Lewis have been disqualified, but the referee should have been disqualified as well, because he did not award a disqualification.
