Lennox Lewis states why he didn't give Vlitali Klitschko a rematch.

Why should Lewis give Vitali a rematch? Lewis was clearly at the end of his career physically and he was struggling motivationally. He achieved everything and became undisputed HW champion. Vitali on the other hand was in his prime, dangerous and hungry. I still think Lewis would have won the rematch, but he would have sustained needless damage. We should respect that he went out at the top and came out with all his faculties. Just compare him with Evander who looks bewildered and slurs alot when he speaks....

 

I hope to think that these people are WUMS. To suggest that Vitali retired Lewis is plain shocking. Lewis retired because he got, you know, old. I know its a shock to many people on this forum but people do grow old and slow. A prime example of this is RJJ, the guy seems to be involved in some spectacular knockouts knowadays......unfortunately its him thats getting KO!

Im not a Lewis fanboy but he is one of the best ever HW champions.

It was such great fight by both, a rematch would have been even bigger, Vitali is Lewis' best win imo. Lewis clearly didn't want Vitali for the second time and I understand why, a 50% chance of winning is too risky in the late stage of his career.
I have huge respect for Lewis though I am a Vitali fan, even without the rematch. But I can't understand people who say a rematch was not necessary because all questions had been answered atsch

Because he didn't have the balls to admit the truth. He would rather lie and let the ignorant about the sport public think that he saw no point. Disgusting if you ask me although I have a whole lot of respect for him as a fighter overall.




This stuff is as obvious as it gets. SILENCER has put it in an irrefutable manner. Steward confirms it. Brits are biased. No point to waste time with them. That is all.

 

He wrote it in his book. I don't think he would say such blatant lies in a book. He's not that kind of a guy.

Besides let's leave Steward and take a closer look at the situation, the fight, the aftermath. If you did and still try to tell me that Lewis didn't refuse him a rematch because he was scared to lose, I sincerely laugh and say you're as biased as *****s, *******s or whatever.

Like Merchant said right after the fight:
"Let's see if Lewis will use this win as the perfect opportunity to ride into the sunset with a safe resume".
