He was born in the UK wasn't he? If so, he is British. Then he lived in the UK for some of the time during his career.

He was born in the UK, lived the first 12 years of his life in London, has dual citicizenship with the UK and Canada and chose to represent the UK as a professional boxer. Britain has just as much claim to him as Canada does.

He was born in England and lived there until he was 12. He is English. However, because he moved to Canada and lived there for a while he gained Canadian citizenship. Therefore, Lewis is an Englishman with dual citizenship.

    End Thread.

All depends on how Lewis sees himself and he sees himself as British.I don't think he ever felt Canadian. When he first moved there he was teased because of his London accent.

Born in the UK, lived there the majority of his life and represented them as a professional boxer. Lived in Canada for much lesser amount of his life and represented them as an amateur. I think there is a much stronger case for him being British, and why is that? Because he is ****ing British!

    He's multi-national.

He's certainly not a product of British boxing though.
But then nor was Chris Eubank.
