Its well documented that Evander was ill during that time. they thought he would never come back.

I also think that Holy deserved the decision then regardless so its a non issue , add the fact that he thrashed moorer in the return

    This

I have never understood how Tyson ducked Lewis, when Lewis was the one who made decision not to fight him

Seems a bit convenient that Evander Holyfield has illness's when he loses fights in his prime....Holyfield today still cant come to terms with ever getting beat - He is the man of 1000 excuses.

Moorer was past his prime when Holy beat him, otherwiae Holy would have another L on his record and given us another hilarious outlandish excuse.

Did you understand the part, when after Lewis beat the living **** out of Tyson in the ring, Tyson said 'I could never of beat him' then wiped Lewis's face in one of the most embarrassing acts of subserviance seen in a boxing ring.

I'm not sure what your point is. I know that Bowe fought Golota at that time but the only reason he didn't, is because the fight with Lewis didn't go ahead.

The fact that Bowe fought Golota at the time instead of Lewis isn't proof that the fight was never considered. It was a replacement fight because Bowe didn't want to fight Lewis. Here's how it happened:

Lewis and Tyson talked about a fight. They realised they would make mmore money if Lewis beat Bowe and Tyson beat Seldon, and would later have a bigger fight. Lewis was promised a fight, post-Bowe. Tyson went on to face Seldon and win, but Lewis was ducked by Bowe which threw a spanner in the works and that's why the Lewis vs. Tyson fight didn't happen at the time.
If you don't believe the NYTimes, which, I might add you quoted as a credible source earlier in this ****ing thread, then look at The Ring. I believe it's the edition which has an extensive interview with Tyson though I may be wrong. it was certainly early 1996, when the fight was being talked about.

It's just common knowledge that Bowe and Lewis were supposed to fight in 1996.

You clearly do because you don't understand what was happening at the time. Bowe was supposed to fight Lewis before, or instead of, fighting Golota. The only reason the Golota fight happened is because Bowe didn't want to fight Lewis.
I just posted a reply to your nonsense before reading this, so let me get this straight: Are you saying that because Lewis/Bowe didn't happen in 1996, it wasn't supposed to happen?

    Christ.

Like I said earlier, I knew you wouldn't accept you got it wrong. I just didn't expect you to cry about the poor journalism or whatever. Sad. It's clear that the Bowe/Lewis fight was supposed to happen in 1996 and, when it didn't, it threw a spanner in the works for Tyson/Lewis which was going to be after Tyson/Seldon. It's clear as day what happened but this obviously doesn't fit in with your anti-Lewis agenda.

By the way, how come you didn't defend your bull**** from earlier? I have mentioned a few times the absolute hypocrisy of blaming Lewis for not fighting Byrd and Sanders, and also putting the blame on him because the Bowe, Holyfield, Tyson, Foreman etc., fights didn't happen. That sort of double standards is completely ridiculous, and I don't know why you wouldn't defend it, unless you can't, which I think is the case.

I forgot to add in my last post, but Lewis and Bowe agreed to a fight in April 1996. This was before Tyson fought Seldon and, as I said, was propsed as an alternative to a Tyson/Lewis fight, so they could make bigger money in the future. The fight didn't happen in April 96, obviously, and was proposed and cancelled again later that year.

I think I've clearly proven Widdow_Maker wrong, who, and I quote, said:
    And:
Here's a link anyway, to the fight being agreed for April 1996:

    What's the point, Jack?

You can provide all the evidence you want and some people here will still be content with regurgitating the same old tired talking points.

Lewis was clearly NOT a con.

He may have gotten faded versions of greats but that really isn't his fault. At least a lot less so than a guy like Calzaghe.
