Maybe Lenny should have fight Tyson, when Mike was in his prime.

But then again Lenny would have been knocked the **** out, so he decided to fight amateurs when Tyson faced world champions.

That's pretty much true. I don't expect Widdow to admit he was wrong, even though I've clearly proven he was. It's kinda frustrating to see people refuse to admit it though. Anyone who has read the points I've made and how I've backed them up, knows that what I've said is true, yet he won't admit that, even though it's clear to everyone else.

    You're right though.

come off it kid. the fight was being fought on very even erms, until lewis caught bruno with a huge huge shot. it is common knowledge that bruno fades down the stretch, lewis was always favoured for a late knockout.

as for briggs having him all over the place, he had a good start yes, but who got their ass kicked? who got dropped numerous times?vitali couldn't put him down once, lewis stood there, took briggs biggest shots and then floored the mofo bad ass style.

If he calls you a "dick sucker", you're gonna look pretty ridiculous.

Kinda frustrating when people insist the Earth is round. Well at least you know it`s flat Jack.

The thing about Lennox Lewis that people forget is that he actually fought in the Olympics twice, he fought in the 84 olympics and the 88 lol......

Most fighters turn pro after the Olympics, but obviously when an animal like Mike Tyson is around you wait out 4 years fighting for CANADA>

i don't get the hatred with lewis, yes he was boring for a while, but he fought and beat everyone in the 90's.

the one man who people might have favoured to beat lewis, he battered in one of his last amatuer fights. and don't give me all this am vs pro bull**** because it wasn't a points victory, it was an ass kicking, bowe had headgear and still got twatted.

the 4 standout heavies of the 90's where lewis, tyson, holyfield and bowe. lewis beat two of them whilst the third ran like a *****.

not just the greats he beat, but the level of his contenders that he beat are also very high. people like mercer, morrison, bruno, briggs, tua, ruddock, vitali all very good victories.

plus he avenged his two knockout losses and his bull**** draw decision.

i know that tyson was past prime but lets not completely **** upon the victory here. tyson was universally regarded as the number one contender. it is one of the biggest fights in history and bar holyfield and douglas, tyson was not just undefeated, but he had destroyed the majority of his opposition. lewis was the older man, and was the closer to retirement.

I'm not saying that the fight is the best victory lewis has, nor am I saying it is a massive indicator as to how a prime version of each would have gone on. But the fact is simple, if the fight would not have happened, lewis's resume would be incomplete. it did NEED to happen.

LONDON — Lennox Lewis, the WBC heavyweight champion, has rejected a deal to fight Riddick Bowe for the undisputed title.
"The deal was $21 million for Bowe and a 50-50 split if the final purse went above $32 million," Frank Maloney, who represents Lewis, said Tuesday. Lewis was guaranteed $11 million.

Lennox is not a con artist, im a Tyson fan and i admit Lennox was the greatest heavyweight of his era, however his era began as soon as Tysons ended (when he went to prison)

Both men utterly dominated their era, Tyson moreso, both had blips when they got careless. And both will go down in history.
Lennox did everything you can ask from a dominant champ.

However i laugh when people, "any version of Lewis would knock out any version of Tyson", sorry but that just isnt happening. It took him 8 to get rid of the old fat one. I cant seem him doing that to a younger Tyson.
