Not only is Holyfield's resume better, it's CLEARLY better. Unlike Lewis, he actually fought the top champs of the 90s when it mattered. He won impressive victories over Bowe and Tyson when these men were either at their best (Bowe) or close enough for it to matter( Tyson).

Lewis faced old versions of Tyson and Holyfield himself, and didn't face Bowe at all. And he got taken out early twice by mediocre fighters when he held the title. You never saw Holyfield blasted out early by guys like McCall or Rahman. Not once, even when he was washed up.

Lewis is absurdly overrated by some boxing fans. He's not even the best HW since Holmes (that's Holyfield) let alone top 5, or :lol: better than Ali. :nut He's borderline top ten at best.

Because Lewis was a smart businessman, he knew that if he turned down the initial offer and let Tyson face Seldon, then demand for a match would go up considerably (See Wlad-Haye), meaning even more money for Lewis (including the 4 million he received to step aside).

Lewis agreed to step aside for money as long as he got Tyson next, it's even right there in the link:

"Lewis then accepted $4 million from King to step aside and allow Tyson to fight Seldon, with the proviso that Tyson, assuming he beat Seldon, would fight Lewis next"

Of course, what you wrote about me isn't "polluting the forum" at all, I assume. You're not childish at all.:deal

I'll be a gentleman and respond only to your views. Wlad had those 2 bad losses (one being to Corrie Sanders, whom Lennox ducked), just like Lennox had two bad losses. The fight never happened, and Lennox was the champ, so yes, Lennox ducked Wlad, who by the way was on Lennox's back in every way possible.

Some of you guys have to get real about Lennox. He may be your favorite fighter, but that doesn't mean he's a great fighter. Besides insulting me, what can you put forth to defend Lennox's weak resume?

Lewis was offered a career high payday to fight Tyson right then and there no questions, he refused.

He was also set to make a career high payday against Bowe in 1993 no questions asked, of course Lewis refused.

All of Rocky Marciano's big fights were against past prime ex champions and Louis leftovers, the top contenders during the 50's were also weaker than during the 90's, that's pretty much regarded as a fact by anyone not completely bias.

Marciano's win over Louis is also just as deplorable as Lewis' over Tyson's.

You can contort any fighters resume anyway you like, to suit your distorted view.

I won't respond to your infantile comments, but mainly for other Lewis fans, here's what I say to your views:

No, Lennox of course did not pay Tua to come in overweight. But he did avoid Tua until he was overweight. Same with Tyson.

How on earth can Tyson duck Lennox if he is hiding in England? If Lennox had wanted to fight the best, he would have got on a plane to America, where all the best HWs were fighting each other. He waited for them to get past their primes. Lennox could never pick the odd one out, but he was always good at picking the old one out.

Resume is not just about wins. Hoylfield has losses to:

Valuev, Ibragimov, Larry Donald:rofl, and John Ruiz amongst others.

That is much worse than 2 defeats to prime opponents which were both avenged. I've never claimed he's better than Ali, and I've never claimed he's a top 5 heavyweight. But he has a better resume than Holyfield, a much less embarrasing L collumn than Holyfield, and a desrvedly higher P4P ranking whether you like it or not.

That actually made me laugh. Zakman is one of the worst posters on ESB and that is the opinion of not just me, but most people on this forum.

Also, Lewis would clown Marciano in the ring, and would destroy him mentally and physically.

Shove that in your pipe, *****.
